HOW TO: Import/modify/export LH

I'm working on an edit of Augustus Caesar! but when i try to export the nif file, it tells me there is something or other missing bone! and i tried just importing and immediately exporting (no changes, just to text it) and it was missing a bone to start!

how can i fix this and get the darn export????

With churchil, you only need to delete the bone that the message say. For Augustus, I would have to read the message.
 
Can I delete all the bones, and just edit the mesh, then replace the original one in nifscope?

No, I fear it will mess the skininstance, but the armature isn't really annoying if you make bones display like small stick.

For Augustus, I would have to check, I never edited this model but it may probably work if on only rerig all the verticles that are linked to this bone to an other.

Yeah, if (for example) you want to use peter art at the place of victorial (because you think peter look more historical accurate for Victoria :D ) the only thing you need is xml.

They are a lot of tut about xml editing. I do not know if there is one for LH, but it is the same thing for units and I know they are 2 good tut for units. The lines of the xml to change are almost the same, so you may check units tutorial.

Garret, the bone delete thing just doesn't work. I figured out that you loose the bone-skin conection this way, and your leader will look like a stone statue.
 
Men, i realize that some leaders got some bug when you try to import them, I could not export some warlords leaders.
Any way, to edit the bones, you need to select it, and them enter o n the edit mode. In this section, you can select the bones indivivualy, and edit them. I don't know if it gonna work, but you can try.

Which leader ?
 
Churchill. Just to confirm, I imported him, corret the UV textures, and try to export, without edit anythig. It still giving the "missing bone" error when i try to export. Augustus got the same problem. Rosevelt works fine for me.

C. roland, if you get a quick second could you load up Augustus in blender and then try to export him using the script, and tell us how to rename a bone or whatnot that will fix it. Plz plz plz :worship:
