HOW TO: Import/modify/export LH

sorry, another question (and double post): I get the following error when exporting:

vertex color painting/lighting enabled, but mesh has no vertex color data

how do i disable it?
 
also, nifscope is getting an error when copy pasting branches of the bison im making

it appears it is exported same as leaderheads

its acting liek it shud be exported as a leaderhead, anyways is there anything special about using resources? cuz the original one (the one thats pasted to) doesnt have a niftrishape or whatever you call it

Wich leader was you trying to export ?
 
@C Roland- a modified Pacal, and i may have tried alexander or cyrus at some point

@garret- hmm. Ill definitely download it if i dont already have it... i keep wondering tho- is it the same kind of steps that youd do with the leaderhead in nifscope? but its weird cuz theyre each made of different parts and no nitrishape

what steps do you think are different in getting a resource not to crash the game? would nifviewer make it easier?
 
when i go to the scripts config editor, it says i have a python script error, what do i do?
 
i have 2.44 and the problem is there.
 
Alright, I've had this happen to me a billion times. My nif scripts for blender are properly installed, un fooled around with, I've already reinstalled python, blender, and the nif scripts twice [pissed] and this is really getting to me:

Grr...I don't know why this happens. I import a LH, I edit it, export it sucessfully, see that it needs to be edited more, import it back, edit it, and when I export it I get that after it "converts to NIF". And then pretty much nothing happens and it's unsucessful. I have no idea why this happens. Is it a glitch or something?
 
hmm, i think i have successfully modded that LH before. but i can't really remember.

ahh, i see what you did, you can't really "re-import" stuff. my advice is to simply save the .blend file before you export, then if it looks lame, go back to blender, edit the .blend some more, then re-export it.
 
^Thanks for the advice! I'll remember that. :D One other umm...small??...thing. I modded Joao's LH to make Henry VIII (got less hair, rounder cheeks, little fatter ;) ) and the texture got all screwed up. For example, I go into nifskope and the UV web got a thousand times bigger. I think there was just an error on the export, but I don't really know for sure. I'll tell you guys if it keeps happening :D.

EDIT: Sorry for my stupidness. :D Forgot to say Thanks for this C. Roland! :)
EDIT2: Damit. Keeps on happening, the UV web get's all blown up as you can see in screen 2. His face is 10 times the size of just the UV. :(

Any advice? All I did was alter the shape of the LH a bit. :confused: Doesn't happen with the other ones....hrmph...
 
LOL. I know, it made the web 10 times larger than the image, I have no idea...And it's pretty much a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS to try to fix it...Either that or it's just an error on the export.
 
Another problem with blender, this didn't used to happen, I've already un-installed and installed blender with the scripts, and now all that it gives me when I import ANY LH is the nodes. :confused:
