How To: Make Leaderheads! Ekmek's Guide

Thanks. I actually found the shading thing by accident, I hit "D" when trying to hit "G" :p

you already got that far. man and I'm on page 18 of my guide just getting to separating. I'll keep working on it. but I'm glad you are getting this far.

by here is a screen shot of how to separate pieces

you saw this right?

Yeah. The thing I found by accident was how to color the leader. Also, how do you view the leaderheads from Vanilla? I can see some of them, but the only file inside is eye_shadow.dds. And some don't even show up in the list (Isabella, Catherine, Victoria, I think are all that's missing)

they are all in the asset1(to 4).fpk files. you need pakbuild to unpak them

And now the question that always comes up: (drumroll please) Where can I find it free?

I tried to export my LH from Blender, but I'm getting an error that I don't have the right PyFFI file. What's the PyFFI file that I need?

i posted a bunch of links on the prevous page with it. but if you installed python 2.6 there isn't a pyffi for it yet so you shouldn't use the 2.49a blender (yet) but instead use hte release candidate that i posted in the same post with links on the last page. i followed all of those and my blender works fine.

edit: here's a link to the post

Is it possible to add bones in Blender? Or is that something done in NifSkope?

I have the QSkope thing, (I don't know how I got it, I think it came with NifSkope, Blender, etc.) and It won't let me use it unless I get this PyQt-win-gpl-4.5.1 thing. Problem: It won't change the error message, even though I have downloaded that PyQt thing.

you can add vertex groups. i do that to remeber parts i edt but i've never added bones. i think its similar process but coyote is the one for that.

I don't know waht qscope is or does so i always delete it. but to get nifskope its in your profram files/niftools. but when you want to use it don't open the program use it to open the nif directly so click on the nif file you want and make sure nifskope is the default program with it. when you click on the nif and it opens nifskope it loads all the texture files found in the same folder too. but if you open it from the program it will load your nif but all white (no texture)

Okay, so I don't need QSkope. :D I was actually hoping I wouldn't need that. By the way, the .fpk files still arent' opening, even with GIMP. What should I use for them?

Okay, thanks. This lets me use the files for the Vanilla leaderheads + the ones that I said were missing, right?

Oh, and what's GameCore.dll do? Btw, the the Assets folders came up empty. What should I expect to see when I open them? They're the Assets0 through Assets3 .fpk files. The Leaderheads didn't change at all. Are there any leaderheads not located in Assets/Leaderheads?

I'm spending a lotta time on tutorials, now that exams are over :p
