[HowTo] Play "Yet (not) Another Earth Map Pack" with CPP

So, is there any way to force spawn Settlers for CSs? I'm playing now British Islands with random CSs locations and there are a lot of lands, but unfortunately, CSs spawn without Settler :(

If the City States exist in the game then you could use the IGE addon (In Game Editor) to create settlers for them - or indeed, just plop cities for them. IGE is compatible with games you have already begun playing as well. So even if you're half way through a game, it's usable.

But to do so, I need to reveal map, right? I like exploring and don't want to know where all CSs are :P Can't it be done by script or somehow differently?

The new version of more luxuries, included in CBP seems to conflict with V23 of this map pack. Nothing appears in the drop down menus when setting up a game. I don't think anything else is contributing to the conflict, although V22 doesn't have this problem.

Yes, can confirm this.

Does CP work with dlc maps or Scrambled Continents?

So as I understand it, and after much testing, the Community Patch does not work with the 43 Civ DLL. However, if I wanted to increase the number of civs available for play on a YNAEMP map or any other, is there a way I could go about doing that? I noticed that Whoward's mods are ostensibly compatible with the CPP, however, when I have the CPP activated it does not allow me to select the mod for 34 Civs. Is there something I'm doing wrong? And if not, is there a way I can smoosh the mods for 34 civs into the CPP? This issue is something I've been grappling with for months, if someone can point me in the right direction, I'd be immensely grateful! If I can get this issue resolved, I can at last have the perfect Civ V game, the one to rule them all.

Ah, excellent, thank you very much for your prompt response! I'll give it a try and see if it works. I mean, logically speaking the 43 civs and the CPP shouldn't be incompatible strictly speaking, as they impact different things, but in practice of course such esoteric mechanics are beyond me, so I cannot say definitively what should and should not work together. :P I'll get back to y'all on whether the file you linked worked. Thanks again!

*EDIT*

Alright, well, downloaded the newest version of the CP, and per my understanding of the installation instructions, downloaded the 43 civ addon for the CP and dropped the DLL from there into the main CP folder and overwrote the old one. Unfortunately so far this has only resulted in a crash to desktop while loading from the mod menu (with only the CP mod enabled). After that, I redownloaded the original CP file, put 'er in, and kept the 43 civ addon in a separate file and enabled it in the mod menu. No crash, but also cannot put more than 43 civs in game as far as my initial test went. Nonetheless, it didn't crash, so progress is progress. My momma didn't raise no quitter, so I'll keep slaving away at this come tomorrow to see if I can find some arrangement that works. If you all could just review what I did so far and perhaps enlighten me to the error in my ways, I'd be much obliged. My gratitude once again for your help so far.

CPP v72, the latest one. Would it work for an earlier version?

*EDIT*

I noticed the replacement DLL with 43 civs is about 100kbs smaller than the one in the base community patch dll. I'll try downloading, installing, and replacing the dll for an earlier version of the CP and see if it works. I'll keep you all posted.

*EDIT 2*

Alright, so I tried with v68 and replacing the DLL, but again, crash while loading from the mod screen. The difference in file size was less, with only 15kbs or so, but the replacement DLL was still smaller than the original one it was replacing. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what the current version was at the time, I'll try to ask on Github.

Much obliged. I think I've done every possible combination of file configurations possible and haven't been able to get it to work with either v68 or v72, so I'm out of options on my end. If the creator could put in his two cents, that'd also be mightily appreciated.

Haha, sorry to be persistent, but now that the official version has been released, does the 43 civ dll work now? The change log seemed a little ambiguous, is there still work to be done on it, or is it about set?

Still testing. The addition of that many more civs is really taxing on the game's memory budget.

Alright, thank you for the work you've put in so far, I was surprised to see the official version released so soon after my inquiries. :D While I understand this is a forbidden question, do you have an ETA on when the DLL will be patched up? Frankly I'm so eager for this to be released, I'd be willing to shell out some donations if it'd move things along. :P Again, thank you for the work you've lavished on the Community Patch, it is a thing of beauty!

Patched up to what? a 43 civ DLL?

Yessir. Sorry for the ambiguity, just wondering when the 43 civ dll would be made compatible with the latest version.
