Huge San Fran Fire.

Bill is always a nublet

Just found out some people's family from my Church were in a house right in the fire. They all made it out, but the house is gone.

On topic, was there any particular point of discussion to the thread, or was it simply to call attention to the fact that California is once again burning?

This is different than the common fire. It was a gas line explosion. And yes, this is a discussion about Fox New's merits.

O'Reilly? Hannity? Limbaugh? Coulter?
How can you criticize them with any credibility when you can't even get the hosts right? While Coulter is a contributor to FOX News, she's not a show host. Rush Limbaugh isn't even on FOX and seldom makes TV appearances anymore. Also, you can even scratch off O'Reilly as O'Reilly is a populist. That leaves you with Glenn Beck (a right-right-libertarian?) and Sean Hannity, and Hannity is definitely a GOP talking head.

I'm just curious if you're going to make the same criticism over MSNBC's nightly lineup: Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. If you want heel-clicking ideological uniformity, there's no better station than that.

It was my understanding that Limbaugh was a nominal member of the FOX team.

That's what I was thinking. But does MSNBC claim to be balanced?

Which is why their online reporting is fine.
No it isn't. It's still crappy. Of course, it's hard to screw up a report about a fire.

Most people just bash Fox news because it's the popular thing to do. Like amadeus said you can't take on Fox without taking on MSNBC. There is nothing more annoying than liberals who think they know it all and decide to call out random popular conservatives as an insult. Please do some research. I know the right wingers aren't always correct or unbiased, but its the same with everyone. Cable news is to be taken with a grain of salt. The OP isn't even related to Beck, O'Reilly, or any of the others so please never use Fox news as an insult. They do go beyond the cable station.

Can we change the title of this thread to indicate we are talking about Fox news rather than the large fire in the San Fran area?

kthxby

I think the obvious question that should be raised here is this: Why is there a 30-inch steel natural gas pipe running through a residential neighborhood, which is right on top of the San Andreas Fault?

http://geology.com/san-andreas-fault/

It would make a lot more sense to use a much smaller diameter pipe, or route it to the east where the airport is located and is surrounded mainly by industrial zoning instead of homes.

This is the billionth terrorist attack under Obama's watch!

Can we at least change the title so it says San Bruno instead of San Francisco?

To most people the difference is insignificant. If you google "SF Fire" you get this story.

Besides, hardly anybody has ever heard of San Bruno before.

Considering that it must be getting cold up there at this time of year, they must think that this fire is just fabulous!
