Damn steam sales I want to get one point and click adventure but I can't decided on which one. I have liked some point and clicks a lot over the years, Longest Journey comes to mind, but I don't play very many of them. Secret of Monkey Island is $2.50 today, Machinarium is $20 and Time Gentlemen Please! is $5. I guess I'm leaning toward Machinarium but the price is so much higher I need some advice.

I have no idea what those two other games are, but for God's sake buy Monkey Island SE!!!!!

I have played machinarium and, while being a VERY good adventure - it is rather short.
I didn't play the Monkey Island remake but from what i've read it's just like the old one, which i played. That means basicaly that it's 10 times longer than machinarium. It also makes it better than machinarium but not by a huge amount. :)

Hmmmm. Thanks for the advice Machinarium has a really great art style but at 10x the price Monkey Island is probably a better bet. What annoys me is that I can't seem to find a PC demo of it while I know there is a Xbox one. Since both the classic Monkey Island and the new Time Gentlemen Please are more in the humor category of point and click I just want to play some Monkey Island to see if I actually find it funny since I liked the Time demo.

If you've played The Longest Journey already, the only things you need are Neverhood and Grim Fandango.
