What i meant in the OP is MY pokemon wasnt one of the 151 original.

I like Bills' Mareep option, that would be great. But I think Larvitar would be a great starter, too, as would Eevee or Ghastly.

Squirtle...Blastoise was my favorite Pokemon as a kid, always kicked arse with it.

To be outside the regular 3, then Dratini.

The Dragonite is perhaps the coolest, however that would entail starting with a Dratini (substantially less neat though still neat).

Bagon (dragon type) would also be good.

If dragon type attacks used attack power rather than special attack that would help them quite a bit.
