that castle looks dangerous on that cliff, but I like it.

The castle is inspired in la citadelle laferrière, build by Henri Christophe in north Haiti. And it is in a cliff.

I do like. Perhaps it should be used as your avatar?
Cool se you back Aiken, what happens with you? you was out a long time!

But, I'm thinking to put this picture as my signature. I like my avatar the most to change.

Some coments about my draw.
In the center there are a tree, with 6 guns, 2 flags and two cannons and it is inspired in national embleme of Haiti.

But I change the Drum for one Ashante throne
kings-golden-stool-Medium.jpg

And the axes are Dahomeyan axes of Xangô.

The flag I also change for the flag at the time of Henri Christophe reign over north Haiti.
1024px-Flag_of_Haiti_%281814%E2%80%931820%29.svg.png

And the emblem of this flag and also the enblem in Henri's cheast is the Fenix, a mention of the rebirth from the ashes. Also I put a torch in Henri's hand to remeber was here who order to put fire in Haiti's capital during the conflict with the frenchs.

And as said before, in the back are a cliff with la citadelle laferrière, who was orderd to be build during Henri reign and never was used in combat.

And for last, I small biography of Henri Christophe.

Nice drawing. You seem a little obsessed about Henry Christopher. Why do you find the guy so interesting?

Obsessed is a strong word.
But I'm a fan of Haitian history in general.
When I made my account in this forum I need to choice someone to emulate. And I would like to emulate someone of African descent (at an other forum I choice Manelik II) But in this forum I choice Henri Christophe.
Thinking about Haitian leaders, the first name who came on mind is Toussant L'Ouverture, but I tought he should be very mainstream.
The second name who came on my mind was Jean Jaques Dessalines, the first emperor. But he ordered the 1804 massacre and it wasn't a good thing.
The third name who came on my mind was Henri Christophe, he was a king on north Haiti and very proud of his blackness.
And about Henri's life, my favorite moment is his ends, he gave up his life to avoid a civil war against the south Haiti.
If I was him, I should certanly fight for my throne, but he think in his nation and knows a Haiti after a civil war should don't mantain it's independece against colonial powers. I think that of thake it's own life a step of courage who I admire and decided to emulate him in my profile.

But the main point is, the Haitian history is very unknown and I come to this forum for asking for more Haitian representation at this game.
Is very remarkble a game as Civilization who made a lot a of civs forget for 6 editions the Haiti. What I think Haiti is the most influential country of western hemisphere because it leads the end of global slavery.

I'm so "obsessed" with Haitian history that I put a lot of Haitian influency on my book. At my book I wrote about my own neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, but somehow I put a lot of Haitian stuffs in the book, as for example, the main character have a relationship with an Haitian immigrant. And one of the main characters of the history, the rainbow snake, is a main god of Haitian religion, the voodoo.
From this forum, who is reading my book is @Takhisis, if someone want to know about this book can ask to me or Takhsis. I love my own book and I will just speak good things about, so, because of that, maybe is better to also aks to someone else about the book hahahah

Pretty interesting. So I understand you are of Haitian origin living in Brazil?

About chosing names I originally signed up here to download stuff only so to chose my name I used the first name that came to my mind, which was from a comic book I read as a kid, (thorgal) but since it was already taken I mashed some keys randomly on my keyboard resulting my current name, which will remain unaltered since I am too lazy to change it.

It is mostly unknow here, however i used to buy a magazine called Cimoc which published stories of many european authors, the ones like Moebius, Manara, etc, and of course many belgian ones. Dont know why the name "thorgal" specifically fixated in my mind. I dont even remember the story exactly, i think it was about a kid who was found floating at the sea by some vikings.

I liked this, so I took it upon myself to give it a kind of "modern art" interpretation.

Hope you like it too.
I love it, thanks very much! Is it cubism?

No! I'm don't even black, I'm a white latin american. My family arrive in Rio de Janeiro via internal migrations from Northeast to Southeast.

Do you have more drawings in this style?
Yes!

This other draw I made to my book, I don't use that draw in my book instead I used other draw by an arthist.
But about that second draw, it is the Rainbow Snake speaking with Edé, the hero of my book. He is one Orixá and have a birth surrend of mystery around the waterfalls. Orixás are kind of gods in Afro-Brazilian religion.
The image that I used in the book is that below:

Have you ever explored the North East, or were you born in Rio?

Very cool city to live in either way, I am jealous! I have a friend who lives in Sao Paulo and I visited him a few years back.
