Well I have a Chess Board but no pieces!

I love Chess but I usually play in school. I am not very good but thats not the point
I was wondering wheter you guys are willing to play at an online site such as Red Hot Pawn?

Maybe there are better programs out there, but I use Winboard. A (very customizable) chessboard on your computer screen.

I don't think you'll have any problems finding someone to play [here]. I have several games going, so I'll wait for someone else to volunteer.

But www.redhotpawn.com/ allows you to play games there and you can move or stop at any time. I have been playing a game n and off there for a few days now. It rocks!

I do play on the zone http://zone.msn.com/ every now and then. I just find it annoying that about 50% of the games "features" my opponent leaving mid-game. Same problem at redhotpawn?

Well the games could be st up here and the two players agree not to leave. If anyone does want to leave the game will remain waiting for the players to continue. I don't see a problem!

If you play someone you "know" on the zone, that's no problem either I was reffering to random people you meet at the site.

I was just looking for an easy wasy to play to play games. You are allowed to set up 'closed' games between members so no random people can ask you to play....
