I don't know if people can put mods on their ignore lists, but I just don't think its a good idea

People can't put mods on their ignore lists.

H4ppy: You will have to ignore users the slow way. I am not going to edit the template to add the link in. unless you are trying to ignore everyone else, a direct link is not needed.

a gripe about the ignore list:
i liked the old way where if i clicked on the "ignore list" link it showed me thier post in a new window, now i either have to take people off my ignore list, or go w/o thie post, i only say this because one user (i'm sure people have an idea of who im talking about... ) has been posting a lot of spam lately, and i put him/her on my ignore list, and i wanted to test it out.

If you are just testing it, can't you just remove it again?
