I am with richard 3 regarding John Lee Hooker. the guy put out eneless albums.
I also love the raw unpolished energy of Hound Dog Taylor.
Check out some of those texas boogie bands, texas swing etc...
The brits put out some very fun blues influenced stuff in the early 60's, I prefer the Yardbirds and the Animals. But anything done by John Mayall is golden.

Oh yeah Coco Tayler can really sing.

Jazz- Miles Davis, John Coletrain, Charles Mingus, etc.. Anything from the 50's-60's Generally called Cool Jazz. Billie Holiday is sweet too.
