Idea for playing the turnchat even if the forums are down this weekend

As has been announced, the forum upgrade will start late Friday and could take up to 96 hours to complete. It will almost certainly interfere with the turnchat, scheduled to occur on Saturday morning. I have an idea to make so that we don't have to postpone it. We could post the TCIT on another forum and carry on operations from there until CFC is back up. I'm sure that GCF would allow us to post a thread there, or we could create our own provisional demogame forum.

Very good idea..I was thinking the same thing...how about the CDGroup..(i think that's what it is called)..just a suggestion....

CDG would make sense too. I think it may be a little easier to use GCF though, since I can talk to Gogf in chat.

How about we just wait - are we really in THAT big of a hurry, that 3-4 more days is going to matter?

I have posted the TCIT just in case and have requested more information on just what will be available during the down time and when it's likely to start (as I don't know what time zone Thunderfall is in, late Friday covers a lot of ground) to get an idea of the practicalities of continuing. I know where CDG is from 40J's Embassy Thread, but do not know GCF. As much as I do not wish to cancel, at the moment my tenadancy is to do so.

Perhaps we could post the TCIT on another forum and transfer all instructions made at the time of the forum outage to that forum. I could PM (while CFC is still up) or e-mail all officials who have not posted their instructions with a link to the site if necessary.

CT is taking a copy of the TCIT on to her site, but I do not think we should expect people to post elsewhere, I do not want to be in the situation that people cannot post their instructions because they can't find/access where the TCIT is. As I said in the other thread, if all instructions are posted here before the outage I will continue, if not the chat will be cancelled. Those still left to post:
