If I'm friendly to the aliens, then kill one of them...

Then will their friendliness decrease? Or reset? :-?
Even though I always play 'harmony', I just want to kill some aliens sometimes, to complete quests, get Experience or just pure fun. But I'm afraid their friendliness towards me will greatly decrease, or even reset. :( Does anyone have any idea on this? :)

I've done that before, accidentally walking over a nest in my city radius. They snapped out of blue and stayed green for some turns, then went into blue again. So it's not biggie if you have to remove that one stubborn alien or nest.

Only for some turns? :O Then I guess I have nothing to worry about. Thanks! :D

Killing them will not instantly remove the blue status. I had to kill maybe 8 or 10 or so before they turned green again. Never did regain the blue status though even after quite some turns afterwards (although I killed more aliens after the first 8-10) so I just killed the nest and built a well at that point.

Currently aliens seem to be way too much prone to forgiveness. You can eradicate them from the whole map and they won't even be angry.

I suspect that this is going to get fixed on an inevitable patch.

On my first true game - I had a few false starts... where I would play and then stop once I realized what I did wrong or had an area that I hated and restarted. Anyhow, on my first finished game - I was playing Marathon (took something like 753 turns to finish) I went and maxed out Harmony and had 2 points in Purity (picked up some purity techs). I went out of my way to avoid aliens and not to kill them. Then they killed 5 trade convoys in 2 turns. I placed a "planet Carver" satellite near 2 of their nests and repeatedly killed them for almost 100 turns as I completed the Harmony ending and grew that silly Mind Flower. As I was waiting, I even hunted and killed all their sea creatures... and it still let me do the harmony victory.

The harmony victory has nothing to do with how friendly you are towards the aliens. As soon as you activate the mind flower they attack you regardless so having them nearby may even be a handicap.
