If the computer had never been invented

Then this, my 135th post, wouldn't exist !!!

No computer? Good God. The Horror the horror… What would all we nerds do with our time…???
Mass suicide springs to mind… ;)

I'd be HERCULES!!!

After some second thought I came to this conclusion:

Not inventing computers is as impossible as inventing a perpetuum mobile.

There have been mechanical computers for about 150 years. There were electric tube computers before transistor computers before micro-chip computers.

There could be hydraulic or pneumatic computers, whatever. Research is working on DNA and quantum computers.

What is my point? There is no way to rule out the making of computers, without destroying the basic principle of our world, that is - logic.

It is more likely that I'm king-of-the-world, than that there are no 'puters.

Recording on analogue tape...

Why did I ever go digital? Tape was so much better.

I would probably be in a dark room, playing with certain sharp objects and bleeding. Or perhaps I would be listening gloomy music and writing some dismal poetry, or reading something.

Oh wait... that is what I do already when not sitting at computer.

What would you do right now if the computer had never been invented.

I'd wonder why I have two computer desk/workstations that serve no purpose. :p

I'd probably be painting, reading or playing chess.

I'd be writing by hand, would have finished a dozen novels by now! lol

If the computer hadn't been invented we'd still be listening to the Beatles on every radio station while making out with Betty Sue at lovers leep in a brand new red chevy with those wings on the back.

I will invent one. While I'm at it, I'll invent the Internet and CFC as well... :) :p

Yeah right.
