If North Korea declared war on America, and you were drafted, what would you do? Let's just say that this happens tommorow, you live in the USm and you (having inside connections) can choose to go to North Korea, or Iraq. What would you choose?

Being British, I don't know how it applies.

However... one grandfather of mine fought for the full length of WW2. He fought on the front lines against the Germans, participated in D-Day, and was later captured by the Japanese. I know only a handful of his warstories (he died before I was born) ... but he survived many years of frontline combat, which is my point.

And when it was all over, he turned down the war medals.

If he can do it... so can I... hazzar! Ouch. I stubbed my toe

North Korea, at leats in the South they don't want all of us dead. Iraq would just creep me out. Howver, I hope that never happens, despite the fact my 2 uncles, and dad served in Vietnam and my Grandfather fought for Germany in WW2.

Oh my..!!

You're the one always spouting pro-war rhetoric, and advocating domination of other other cultures, etc.. and you want a desk job? What kind of double standard is that? ;)

If I were drafted, Id say good. I would not mind being drafted at all (my parents might, not my dad though). I would choose to go to North Korea only because I personally do not like the whole desert type environment, with a lot of sand, really hot temps., and not many trees. I would not mind doing my part and serving my country. If I decided to be a frieken wuss and run to Canada, Id feel guilty my entire life.

It's actually pretty simple. Humans are slime and so it doesn't matter if I waste them in my quest for world domination. However, I am far too precious for use in such activities.

And yellow is your favourite colour. It all makes sense ;)

Polticians do it all the time.

I'd do my duty as assigned.

If I'm drafted as a soldier, they better put me in the Marines, as I do not see myself fighting for any other branch. Otherwise, I would like to be just like my grandfather in WWII and be a code breaker. There is nothing cooler than a code breaker.

If you are drafted you can go into the AF, Army, or Navy. Marines are not draftees. :)

For that matter, I don't think Navy or AF are, either.

If drafted, I'd go where ordered, although being a 30-something ex-Navy shipdriver I doubt that I'd be sent to a foxhole in Korea or Iraq. More likely they'd have me augmenting a MEPS staff in processing all the other draftees.

:salute: :whipped:

Well, fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, the military is strict about who they let in to serve therefore I can never be drafted.

Then screw that, I'll burn my draft card.

I'd either flee to some foreign country, get a desk job, or... eh, probably die either in training or in wherever they sent me.
