Got It. Yes, the restricted ability to wage war makes dom a bit hard. Didn't think of that.

EDIT: I played about 6 turns when the PC crashed the game and the turnlog. This is something I didn't know, but a friend told me that probably my somewhat old PC can't take a big world map when it develops like ours have. In AA it was no big deal but now everything takes forever. Switching to word pad for logging takes 10 sec's, when IBT is clear and MapStat pops it takes about half a minute.
This means I will be forced to drop out of this SG. It's been fun although a miss AK a lot. I will lurk and keep commenting but I won't sit 3 hrs for a 50% chanse of completing 10 turns.
Please put me on permanent vacation and I'll try to find a replacement idiot.

OK, in true Idiot Spirit, I will forget about warmongering this set, and just go a workin' on the railroad. So not much to talk about.

1140AD- Industrialization comes in, start electricity. Switch a couple towns to factories. Trade America Steam for Sanitation since a few nations, India and Aztecs among them, have steam now.

1150AD- Volcano goes active and the poor Babylonian residents of Shurrupak get the Pompeii treatment. :p Poof!

1160AD- Babylon finishes Smiths. Delhi finishes Shakespeare's.

1170AD- Zulu and Persia sign trade embargo against us. Idiot Academy army>factory.

1200AD- Merge 4 workers into Hamadan's replacement. Complete rail stuff.

Post turn- Ereen still needs rails, but that is the last town that is likely to break 20 shields without a factory. Have quite a few factories going in the core. Tried to start generating some workers in the eastern areas of the empire.

Got it, might only be thursday though.
 
Just opened, looks good. Will go to war against India since they are already involved with the Iroquois in the West, giving us a neat window to take advantage of.

2 questions though: how many techs have we burned/have we got left in the IA, and do we want to burn one with RP too?

I'll check back in when electricity is in.
 
5 turns done, the first advance on India was pretty easy, but they have more and more rifles and we'll need cannons to go deeper without losing hundreds (;))of units. Since there's been no reply I'll just go :sleep: on it.
 
Time to beat the horse back up again: I'm unsure about the number of wars and techs per era, and about the ones used in the IA so far. I don't want to deliberately burn them all up either, so I ask the team again: should we research RP ? Would we be better off saving the researched techs for nationalism/commie/flight/motorized transportation?

And unless you'd rather have me post my 6 turns, I'll wait for an answer again.

I would head for RP, then race for SM. Nuts, we can't build the ToE. Umm yeah.
RP first, then we will conquer Eurasia/Africa. After RP, go for Nationalism, Commie, and espianage.
We get to research 8? techs and we have used 3? (Steam, industry, electricity?)
 
3 is right, but I can't take that question mark off the 8 allowed techs.
 
Bad news, I had forgotten to save the file at 1255 AD after my first run at the turns.

Should I re-play, with the spoiler knowledge of having played the turns once, or swap with M60? I think the swap would be more fair.

On a side note, we can get a lot of gold and nearly 30gpt on trades for communism by giving only industrialisation on the first IBT.
 
Well first check your autosave file and see what's saved. Otherwise replay it as close as you can to the original set, whether you know that you win or lose.

I would just say play on. But I am pretty sure your autosave directory will have the file.
 
Checking the crackhead part, we can have 2 more wars and research 4 total techs, so RP is a go.
