I'm back...anybody interested in a new Prince Succession game?

Francisco appears to be AWOL. Without objection, let's give him until the end of the weekend. If he has not showed by Monday, .:KNAS:. can play (and post his own screenie!)

Alright, .:KNAS:., why don't you play now and Francisco can play again when he re-appears.

A.D 1625 (Inherited) No changes.
Sioux switch to Republic, and get Industrialization from a the Babylonians...

A.D 1630 (1)
We steal it from them :)... and take over Cedar Creek, henceforward and forever to be know as Boo Sioux Creek. Senate force Cease Fire, and we are now in the race for Womens Suffrage in Sparta.
I bribed a Chinese musketeer in a fortress south of Halicarnassus for 199 gold, and, it is a NONE musketeer.

A.D 1635 (2)
PRB a Cavalry unit in Halicarnassus as a rather nasty looking crusader is roaming nearby. Bribe Chinese dip for 243 gold. Start moving caravans to their destinations. Spanish get Conscripton and Steam Engine from Vikings...

A.D 1640 (3)
Destroy a temple in Chengdu, some movements...

A.D 1645 (4)
Amphibious Warfare discovered, start researching The Corporation. PRB a new cavalry unit in Halicarnassus, thinking about attacking Chengdu with 1 Musket and 1 Phalanx in the city, with 1 more Musket, 2 Ironclads and 1 Engineer supported.

A.D 1650 (5)
Nothing major, just alot of movement. Vikings get Economics from Celts, and Babylonians discover Communism and start building the United Nations.

A.D 1655 (6)
We start Womens Suffrage in Athens, as a pre build to United Nations, or maybe UN isnt worht anything? Anyways, thats for you to decide ill just start building something. Kill two defenders in Chengdu, 1 Musket and a Phalanx...
Dye Caravan from Athens arrive in Canton, 296gold.
Silk Caravan from Athens arrive in Canton, 444gold.
Celts, Viking and Spanish join the race for Womens Suffrage

A.D 1660 (7)
We get Corporation, start researching Electronics. Babylonians wont trade techs...
Chengdu captured, with no losses for us. We are not far from removing the filthy Chinese presence from this island! Bwoahahahahahahahaaa.... Unfortunately i had to disband 1 cavalry so not to cause a revolution. Celts sneak attack, them bastards! They killed the Cavalry we had in Miletos and we can't get reinforcements there in time to save them.

A.D 1665 (8)
Gems Caravan from Mycenae arrives in Nineveh, 202gold.
The Sioux have broken the Cease Fire, hardly surprising... However i don't really understand how a Crusader can kill a fortified Rifleman in a City... Celts sack Miletos and take Tactics. Sioux get Conscriptoin from Babylonians and the Chinese sink an empty transport.

A.D 1670 (9)
I take revenge on the nasty crusader and feel a little better.
Spice caravan from Epheseos arrive in Rhondda, 348gold.
Siouc get Chemistry...

A.D 1675 (10)... and we get Electronics. I started on Communism so we can join the race for the UN maybe. Anyways, i swith the Womens Suffrage in Athen to Hoover Dam. Started on J.S.B in Heraklea. Found the city of Tegea.

So thats it i suppose, we have 2913 gold with an income of 186 gold per turn. Techs go for every 4th turn.

Greek Army Group West, and the ruins of Gortyn...

Wow, now that's what I call service! Nice job .:KNAS:. !! We will let Francisco jump in whenever he shows up, but in the meanwhile, I will take the next turn and then turn it over to OnS. I will get the file tonight and then work on the turns and hopefully post them tonight or tomorrow night. I still can't believe you played the turns, did the write-up and posted a screenie in just over 3 hours! My goal is to get us WS, UN AND Hoovers and Cure for Cancer.....we shall see!

Well, i made a few mistakes in the haste, i mean i why did i steal Industrialization from the Sioux when i would have gotten it when i captured the city later the same turn? Quite funny if you thinkg about it. Anyways, good luck with the wonders. :)

Oh, and eh, it was 1 hour and a half, not "just over 3" ;)

Still working on the turns.... Pretty banal stuff, but the Wonder guilding is going pretty well.

1675(0): Do some rushbuys. Set tax to 1.7.2 (every three turns.)

1680(1): Take Three Forks w/o casualties. Send gold caravan toward Caerphilly. Celts request audience, demand 1000g, when we get done chuckling, the Celts declare war. They must be drunk! Rush buy some more frieghts. Pump several caravans into Hoovers.

1685(2): The Souix establisha trade route with . Chinese Cat lands near Corinth. We shall deal with that momentarily. I hope the Chinese can learn Greek, quickly....We discovery Communism. Have to check the attitude advisor this turn, commie will reduce the effect of Mikes by one Citizen per city, a cruel blow. On the other hand, now we can build the UN! That means we spend 400 shields and or thousands of gold and in a few years, they will be calling us earth rapers and racist imperialists, while refusing to pay for parking....Choose to research steel, a pre-req for automobile, the next big tech...also a pre-req for machine tools and we all know what that means: Ming, old buddy, nice catapult! Meet my brand new friend, Mr. Howie. You can call him, "Run away!" Pump several caravans into Bach's. Cavalry at Corinth "Manage" to defeat the catapult. Deliver demanded gold to Caerphilly (300g).

1690(3) Souix acquire Commy from the Babs. Rushbuy Acquaduct at Corinth to avoid growth stoppage. Send em. to Vikes. Give magnetism to get them from receptive to cordial and they agree to trade maps. They show most of the spanish lands, but not Madrid. Madrid is where the wine and wool just produced are both demanded. Set tax to 0.8.2 to discover steel next turn.

1695(4): See the barbarians taking out some vikings. See the Chinese land near Corinth and Build Kaifeng. The nerve of some people. Sparta builds Women's Sufferage. Celts change projects to the UN. That could be trouble. We have two Wonders underway, Hoovers and Bach's, both of which I prefer to the UN, but neither of which is currently threatened. The Souix, Vikings, Babylonians and Celts (again) all abandon WS!!!!! Start UN at Sparta. Discover steel, start researching Refining. A transport near Three Forks report the Souix outpost of Slim Buttes. Our Cavs at Three Forks will have to stick a fork in their Slim Buttes. Too far away to attack this turn, but the transport will get them there. Awaken Cavalry in Corinth and obliterate Kaifeng. Salt earth where it stood. Not enough turns left to go barbarian and kill China, but once we get machine tools and mobile warfare, their days are numbered. Put taxes to 2.6.2 for discoveries per 3 and 150g against 27g costs.

1700 (5): Chinese send emissary and we agree to meet. They demand industrialization and mighty Alexander laughs in their faces. They beg for a ceasefire and the Senate ratifies. He says that word of our ill treatment of the Souix has reached him. What ill treatment? I thought we were all about being spotless? Oh, well...Meeting over. Cavalry from Three Forks approaches Slim Buttes, make landfall and IMMEDIATELY we get the emissary. Senate signs ceasefire. Worse, the three Cavs are now in Violation of the In-The -Field rule. We are ok on attidtude though. This, apparently, is attributable to Women voting. Not sure how that works.

1705 (6): Hmmm, the Chinese have moved a Cat toward Chengdu. We may have to give them a Tony Danza Lesson: Show'em Who's the Boss. Send emissary to pester the receptive Chinese. They are, of course, planning to attack Chengdu and are only pretending to be friendly.

1710 (7): Athens builds Hoovers Dam!!!!!! Let the Industrial Age begin! We discover Refining and elect to research Espionage. Start a frieght in Athens since it has Spice and Gold available and I am getting our ship chain set up.

1715 (8): the Souix break the cease fire. They will be remmbered as history's great betrayers. No, wait! They simply will not be remembered. A Bab iron Clad sinks one of our transports. Prepare to threaten Slim Buttes.

1720 (9): The Celts and Babs have nearly completed the UN. Should we race to get it? We only have a handful of shields in it. Even if we switch over Bach's, we will not have enough. Switch to Port facility, to build Battleships (we will research automobile, I assume, after Espionage. Sparta is close to Athens, so we can easily re-home the battlewagons from Sparta to Athens for Happiness purposes. Yummy vet Battleships.

1725 (10): Celts (Cardiff) build the UN. We develope Espi and Leo's upgrades our Dips to Spies. Start to research Combustion, still two researches away from auto... Plunder Slim Buttes (98g) Partisans show up and the Senate forces a ceasefire. Thermopalea Wine to Hladir (360g).

1725; 28 cities, 60 techs, the only democracy in a world of republics. We’re supreme & excellent. We have 7(5) Eng/18 rifle/11 Cav/6(3) Transports/2 Spies/5(8) Truck.

Switch a fair among of production, rush buy & partial rush buy some stuff -- mainly engineers (Ag, Argos, Eve, Myc), boats (Mar, Rhodes, Troy, Sic) and trucks (My, Eph, Pho, Sparta). Therm & Corinth purchase their markets. Toggle to 4.2.4

1730 (1) (Celts sink a transport) We love begins in Athens -- (We have enough food for a couple of more citizens.) Found Syracuse. Salt (n) is delivered from Sparta to Athens for a payout of 60 coins, beakers and 10 arrows. Other stuff moves along -- boats to consolidate a chain to a foreign land, trucks appropriate destinations. Toggle to 4.5.1

1735 (2) (Barbs land near Troy & take it with their first dragoon, slaying our non vet no longer alive rifle -- we will want either a new standard of defense or reasonable tech to prevent the sailing barbs from doing this to more important cities.) We luvin’s start in a few sites. Three Forks & Chengdu make engs. JS Bachs’s comes on line. Rush some more stuff (including a couple of spies to buy back Troy.) Another truck from Sparta to Athens = 60 & 10 more arrows. Buy the barb frigate (none). Establish an embassy with the Chinese. Drop off two trucks near Cordoba.

1740 (3) Pop = 11M. Buy the wounded Dragoon, establish an embassy with King Attila of the Barbarians (they are civilized & expansionist but they only have the one city, Troy 65 coins later, they don’t have even that.) We get another dragoon & a vet spy back. Sioux break the cease fire & a partisan nails an almost healed cav.

1745 (4) Deliver freight to Cordoba -- both the Wool and Beads are demanded (for now, but the beads are listed second (Joker slot) so we push the Wool in first (240 coins & beakers). Checking for demand, we say a change, but Beads are still listed (another 240, lucky us). Buy a Chinese cruc; smack three Sioux parts, but lose a cav in the process.

1750 (5) Discover Combustion, opt for MT over AT, Auto, Fl, GE; (WHAT!??? Athens has no sewer!?? Buy a barracks, change to sewer, buy the sewer in Athens.) Pop = 12M Hmmmm 2378 beakers required for the next advance. Move trucks to Athens, re-home, move to exit port. Boat chain them along to Celtic arena -- Silk (d) from Athens to Caer = 1242 Beakers and coins. As we go by we notice The Udal (Vikes -- establish embassy) and establish an embassy with the Celts as well. Also drop off a couple of non demanded trucks for 414 each and a truck from Rhodes (n) for 132. Found Apollonia. buy Bear Paw (111) and Wounded Knee (567, but comes with 3 Athens trade routes, market, bank, walls and four units -- not a bad deal at all.) Buy barracks (160) switch to spy (25), rifle (25), and truck (25) in a number of sites. These 235 rush buys are netting 414 far away and also providing beakers.

1752 (6) (Vikes sneak and sink a transport returning from Spain.) Discover Machine Tools, opt for Mini over AT, Fl, Fun, GE, GW. Pop = 13M. Hmmm the Celts know Fundy & we don’t -- one spy visit later, we do as well. (Some Leo upgrades occur.) Beakers required = 2580; move Trucks to Athens, re-home, move to port, ship…Silk (d) to Carm = 1290; two other non demanded trucks garner 430 each; two (n) trucks to Caer = 414 each. Buy a Chinese Eng (for about 400) and The Udal for 245 (+61 rebate.) RB a number of trucks.

1754 (7) (Celts sink a transport -- notice that via boat chaining, all of these transports laying around are EMPTY -- only the boat is lost, not any valuable units that could be aboard.) Discover Miniaturization, opt for Auto over AT, Fl, GE. Pop = 14M. Deliver Dye (d) to Caer for 828, and 4 (n) trucks for 414 each. Found Rome. RB more trucks.

1756 (8) (Celts sink another transport -- this is almost shrugable as I’m RBing a new transport to start the boat chain each turn -- I end up with a few extra in the hazardous waters, so this is not a problem as long as the goods can reach the market appropriately.) Discover Auto, opt for MP over AT, Fl, GE, GW. Pop = 15M. A Vike knight ends its turn next to The Udal (we talk, do we pay to pay 50? (no) how about a cease-fire anyway (no -- oh on second thought with reconsideration from our Senate, sure). We buy the knight (280) and nearby Celt frigate (435), and then wound the frigate terribly by sinking a Celt ironclad. Deliver wool (d) to Rhondda (600), Salt (300) and 5 trucks (n) to Caer for 414 each. Buy a Chinese eng (charged!) for 472. RB as ususal.

1758 (9) -- (Chinese break CF & slay an eng.) Discover Mass production & opt for Comp over AT, GW, MW, Recyc. Pop = 16M. Hut = 100 Seven trucks (n) roll into Carm for 430 each. Buy Stony Lake for 421 (less 138 rebate) & a couple of part as well (about 200 each). Buy Macao for 727 (but only 55 back) -- Senate forces a CF in the Chinese frontier.

1760 (10) (Vikes start Cfc; Babs have been at this for a while -- we may want this, so we may want to ship a boat over for the tech & proceed accordingly. We have a few food trucks sleeping outside Athens for the next wonder or spaceship parts.) Discover Computers, opt for MW over AT, Fl, GW, Recyc. Pop = 18M. Deliver 6 trucks (n) for 430 each. moved a few units, but left a few unmoved and didn’t RB anything (but about $3K available in funds)

Also notes for the next player -- There is a spy available in the Eastern Chinese Theatre and a Chinese city in an uproar (reduced price with a revolt/subvert) An opportunity perhaps? Some off shores have been purchased, but more can be used; we have Hoover’s but not too many factories (we’ll need Mass Transits as well); there are some green spots for new cities -- and we can always use more engineers.

We should get tanks next turn & howies soon after -- the opportunities look real nice.

Way to go, Old & Slow! .:KNAS:., you up next, unless one of the many who abandonned the Empire now return, seeking the throne!

A.D 1760 (1): Celtic Destroyer bribed for 591 gold outside of Caernarfon, that same NONE destroyer later sunk a Celtic Ironclad in the reds. Another Celtic Destroyer bribed by the same Spy for 495 gold outside Rhondda. Unfortunately, i decided to attack the city of Rhondda with the Destroyer and it was unfortunately lost to the defending Alpine Troops.
Our spies in China subvert the city of Chinan for 648 gold, 58 of that gold was later recovered from the city treasury. The city has 2 Musketeers, a Temple and a Marketplace. 1 of the Musketeers was disbanded to aid the construction of a Library.

A.D 1762 (2) The discovery of Mobile Warfare renders all our Barracks obsolete. Research focused on Robotics so pretty soon we will have those long sought-after Howitzers. Athens finishes a Freight and is now ordered to commence construction of the SETI Project. The city of Issus is founded and after some trouble i figure out how to work the ship chain...

A.D 1764 (3) City of Killdeer purchased for 290 gold, 160 gold were plundered from the citys treasury. A City Walls was PRBd and 2 Partisans occupy the surrounding hills. 1 Phalanx is defending the city, but a Cavalry unit will land in the city by next turn.
Ship Chain arrives at Carmarthen:
Pharsalos Salt: 268
Pergamon Spice: 168
Pharsalos Gold: 268
Pergamon Beads: 168
Ceasfire agreement with Chineese expired, Chinese Crusader bribed for 168 gold.

A.D 1766 (4) Greek scientists discover Robotics, research now aimed at Recycling.
Chinese Caravel bribed for 266 gold, however the Senate won't allow me to declare war, anyways this will only buy us some time to build up an invasion force of Howies and Armor.
Celtic Destroyer bribed outside Illauntanig for 522 gold. The city of Pharsalos now has both an Offshore Platform and a Port Facility, it is set to produce Vet Cruisers. And as a final note, the Chinese are now a Republic.

A.D 1768 (5) The cities in Greek-occupied China are producing Armor and Howies. After moving a crusader towards Little Bighorn they attempt to contact us, i refuse to heed their call and the senare supports continued action against the Sioux. The revolting city of Xinjan in China is purchased for the cheap sum of 567 gold, 76 gold pieces plundered. Unfortunatley the senate signs a Cease Fire with the Chinese... sigh.

A.D 1770 (6) Greek NONE Destroyer gets promoted to Veteran status after sinking a Celtic Transport carrying 1 unit outside Rhymney. Greek Cavalry holds out after repeated brutal yet unorganized attakcs by Sioux Partisans.

A.D 1772 (7) Vikings are nearly done with Cure for Cancer, a sad day yes, but all in all not that important.
Ship Chain arrives at Carmarthen:
Thermopylae Gold: 330
Sicyon Oil: 166

A.D 1774 (8) Vikings finish their project Cure for Cancer, Babylonias abandon. Vikings also sink an empty transport in the ship chain, more priority to be given to the Pharsalos Warships. Chinese Diplo sighted nort of Halicarnassuss, it is on the same square as a Cannon so we cannot expel it. However it could work to our advantage if/when they betray us with it. 2 Spys are moved to the city to help prevent the stealing of any important tech.
Salt Caravan from Thermopylae arrives in Carmarthen, 330 gold recieved.
2 Howies, 2 Cavalry and a Spy in fortress south of Little Bighorn with a rail connection... Soon the slaughter will begin. Bwoahahahahahahahaa... ahahaha hehe... aah
Big Mound razed to the ground, 48 gold recieved. Vikings get Espionage from Celts and Refining from Babylonians. Sioux gets Tactics from Babylonians, Celts get Refining from Vikings and quite unexpectedly the Chinese diplomat moves away from Halicarnassuss...

A.D 1776 (9)
The Greek soldiers were visibly anxious as their Howitzers moved in to position, soon Little Bighorn would be on the receiving end of the largest bombardment in world history. But woult it be enough? Victory here would mean eradication of the evil Sioux, a defeat would means several more years of brutal warfare...
Meanwhile in the Sioux fortifications the soldiers were doing their morning routins, cleaning the barracks and making their beds when the first round exploded in the barracks killin all soldiers who were inside, the battle had now begun. A Rifleman division and a Phalanx was easily destroyed with minimal losses to the Greek side. The brave soldiers were now considered Veterans. Now it was time for the second Howitzer to unleash its deadly rain of fire and explosions. The pathetic Sioux warrior regiment had no chance of surviving and the city was now in Greek hands, and the Sioux were no more. 325 gold was plundered as the victorious Greek troops marched in to the city.

A.D 1778 (10) Greek scientists discover Recycling research aimed at Atomic Theory and our empire now has 22,130,000 proud citizens. Greek Cruiser moves in to attack range of the Viking Destroyer resposible for sinking our Transport. The KNAS Naval Doctrine demands full retaliation to all foreign vessels used for privateering purposes. Outside Halicarnassus, the Chinese Cannon moves in to firing range...
