I have managed to win all of the victories modes but one, the Conquest, so i started this custon scripted map with only one win condition, conquest on noble. (one of the dificults good for me)

I have played several hours without having to restart this game, i'm really trying to finish this game whitout reloading by mystakes i do, but now i'm noticing one of my enemys growing stronger and vassaled with everyone on the game except khan, who i accepted to PA because he was the last one not vassaled whit gilgamesh or else this was going to be a 7 vs me, now i want to know what kind of strategy i may run to save myself and khan, because he can't afford any war so soon or else he'll be overrun by gilgamesh

On status gilgamesh out nowhere started to be more advanced than me and military strong, i never payed much attention to him battling with the other but now i see my fault, i was thinking if it's better start killing the vassals around to down of my continent where i have few cities under my control and ignore khan or try to rush on gilgamesh in a all-in.

Another detail: aside from mao, all other opponents dont put much pressure on us when war start, so if i try everything on gilgamesh i'll probably lost my cities close to charlemagne, every time i try to war him i barely manage to do anything at all and mao togheter with him is much pressure and khan is aways who most suffer, because it i'm asking your suggestions.

Can you upload a save? Hard to tell what's going on and give good advice just from the screenshot and a few sentences of text.

2038ad and you are still running cottages? Hammer economy? Not got that mod installed here.

You have enabled conquest win. Why have you waited till 2038ad to start any conquest?

I wouldn't be running the better AI mod till you can happily beat the normal game.

Yep your screenie suggests you are not managing your cities well,
there are railroads on all tiles, cottages and forests, an Airport gets built, but no workshops.
(cottages can and should be changed, once you get many hammer multipliers like Factories and Coal Plants)

Late game workshops are great with Caste & State Property, and would give you hammers for your army.
Almost all cities should start on units once the important buildings are in place.
(Airport usually not one of them..just those for more production, barracks, and maybe something for health).

Also important understanding: cities at size ~10 can be much more efficient than bloated up ones at size 20,
10 workshops are better than 20 coastal tiles + farms + lumbermills + cottages..

Due to a lack of space victories, I am also really bad at the cottage to workshop conversion. By the time I get to state property I'm not that far from a dom victory and I don't bother to micro manage the conversion. I spend the time moving the army. I really should break my self of that habit.

mass reply:
Gumbolt: i dont actually waited until there to start conquering. i just massive loaded this map with more ai's than the sise of the map was designed for, looking by the oldest save here it was 14 ai on the game on begging, 3 shared that continent that was mine so the initial progress was very slow due having not much cities to help my pogress to increase... when i finally dominated my continent i finally realized that i was so much behind everyone else outside my continent so i started to run cootages to catch they tech power (i dont allowed tech brokering), when i finnaly got able to cross the sea to the other continent i rushed into charlemagne to get few of his cities there and them i pretty much was forced to stop pogressing due mao retaliation, them while i battle mao i noticed gilgamesh starting to vassale everyone around, since i battle sided with khan i decided to ally him before i was alone, and that's the status i'm atm. and since i started playing this game i've been using this mod so :undecide: (my friend suggested it)

Fippy: Thanks for the instructions i'll try to switch the tiles around to emphatises more on shields

rah: i'm just behind this time maybe because of the way the game started, while the other continent the ai gets land to develop faster i was stuck with just 3 cities with the korea not leting me claim more of the land to pogress more fast, when i was finally starting to do my navy my other oponents was starting to obsolete theys ironclads, mao also tried to conquer my continent too so this game was a pain so far.

Couldn't get the mod to fully work. Your main issues here at start was growth. 2nd and 3rd cities are late. I normally try to have 3 cities by 2000bc. With about 7-10 before 1ad. First build should of been worker. Followed by warriors to size 3 and then 2 settlers.

Great people. You need to run specialists. Waiting for great priests from wonders is bad play. You want scientists to bulb techs like edu and liberalism. Plus a scientist for an academy. You need to be using food strong cities to farm great people. You need a library early on to run 2x scientists.

In terms of live game you need to spam units. Building culture and research now is pointless. You really want a 60-80+ strong size stack at this point. Guessing he could field about 40 unit stack.

Map started with 10 AI. 9 of which were on another land mass. You appear to have started one war against HRE. Workers at start should improve food resources and chop before considering cottages. Mines are less important.

You need to rethink how you play the first 100 turns of your game. At present the Noble Ai is expanding faster than you. That is really not good.

You would get more advise if you stopped using this mod. Many like me have struggled to open your save. If you want to play a conquest game load a pangea map and learn to do early rushes with axe/chariots or horse archers.
