Immortal Game Report/Walkthrough: The English Empire, Video et taceo.

Very well done mate. Hope to see some BTS stuff from you soon. Even Emp games would interest me, I like your style. Patience is HUGE part of this game that I lack, and your games illustrate its power very well.

I read it all slowly... great work... I usually lose my courage if I can't expand quickly to 4-5 cities, but you built those wonders damn good at start =) nice insight for my future games...

Yes, I like to build a few early wonders with phil leaders. Those early settled great persons make up for missing 1-2 extra cities. Though I noticed in bts I can usually grab more land then I could in vanilla.

I'm not too confident yet to put a bts game up. :p The new tech tree, ai priorities, new wonders, vassals, espionage, warlords, uu's, ub's, new traits ..

I finished some immortal games by now though, I'm getting the hang of it. I had huge problems adapting to the new ai priorities and the vassal system. I really shot myself in my own foot a few times with that in the beginning. :mischief: I lost two immortal games so far: One Izzy got a diplo win with apo palace. Two I got build in and my only neighbour vassals to some uber vassal master, which made it impossible to expand without declaring war to the whole world. Oh well .. luckily those were both still early game so I didn't get "too" mad.

But if it would interest you, I'm shadowing Homeyg's diety game atm. Though my posts there are nowhere near as in depth as they were this thread of course.

To CivSeta & homeyg, it's nice to hear you liked this game.

What sort of weird settings are you using? i have never seen -2 gold from one city before... Did you multiply all maintenance costs by 3 or something?
