We shall draw up the particulars of the alliance in due course and we are most pleased that our two nations could reach this conclusion. That being said we hold no animosity towards the Dutch although we are greaved to see them so easily swayed by Bavaria when Bavarian King himself denounces the Calvinists and Protestants as heretics and heathens. Nay the Bavarians say that Northern Germany must be purged and converted to the idol worship and papal scraping that is the Catholic Church. Must we suffer under such tyranny?

Never the less King Friedrich Wilhelm III shall endevour as always to protect the religious freedoms that have been so hard fought to acheive by the spark which Luther first created.

We understand that you may fear the rather agitated state of Germany at this time however the King feels it would be foolish to throw away the great friendship he has with England and its people. Thus he proposes to reduced tariffs between England and Prussia so that our two nations may serve each other in a greater capacity. Perhaps a tariff reduction of 15% would be mutually beneficial for both parties.

As for a mutual defense pact the King hopes that such a proposition may be, at the very least, put off till a later date.

We, the glorious defenders of the Rhine, do not like you mocking our rightful position. Futhermore, Prussia makes an exellect point. Now knowing that Bavaria is now rallying with the Dutch to take over the Rhineland, and, later, Germania, we mutually agree to not only a marriage to the Prussia, but a full alliance to curb the Austrian and Bavarian interests. We also extend our hand for an alliance of all Germanic nations that wish to see Austria and Bavaria not to exploit the fall of the HRE.

The Kingdom of Spain, on behalf of its allies, would like to announce the creation of the Catholic League. This League has three main objectives:

1. The Catholic League is aimed at protecting all Catholic nations from the unholy actions of heathens and heretics, as well as advancing the interests of Catholicism, worldwide.
2. The Catholic League is formed to cooperate in the mutual defense of our colonies, which are being built with the spirit of expanding the rule of Christ Our Lord to the whole Earth.
3. The Catholic League's final objective is the protection of Our Lord's representative on Earth, His Holiness the Pope, the successor of Saint Peter Apostle, the Vicar of Christ.

We duly invite the nations of Austria, Bavaria and Two Sicilies, as well as His Holiness, to join this Catholic League as full members. Other members shall be considered once their commitment to the expansion of Catholic Christendom is fully developed and all the current members agree on their inclusion in the League.
