Imperium Off Topicum: Cold War 2

I'm willing to trade with anyone. Especially Sone.

Or you could've just read the thread.

Then let's run a trade route from the Bahamas to Sicily.

Which we appreciate. And which I edited my OP to include actual information about the nation.

The Empire of the Blue Nile will set all of its trade routes to Westafrica.

Just to explain the Neo-Incan government...

The Neo-Incan government is divided into 40 clans. Clan-leadership is usually hereditary, and the clan leaders vote to select the Emperor. Normal citizens vote only for local offices, which are sometimes rigged, sometimes not. Most corruption in such elections is local, not by the empire.

Fiscally we are basically laissez faire. Everyone pays a 10% flat tax, with the only deduction being 1% for each male child, in order to encourage mothers to bear men to fight for the empire. Every male child is drafted at 15 unless they are in the clan-leader's family (But they usually become generals anyway.) There are basically no market regulations, absolutely no welfare, social security, healthcare is all privatized (And if you don't have it and need help, doctors can leave you on the street to die).

Socially the Empire is very authoritarian. Pretty much all felonies, including cannabis use, are punishable by death penalties, although this varies by clan. Clans in the extreme south typically have a libertarian strain that does not exist anywhere else. Federal soldiers still occasionally make arrests "As examples." There is a police state, and you are guilty until proven innocent.

Our foreign policy is "Be vigilant, but be peaceful" or in the words of Teddy Roosevelt "Speak softly, and carry a big stick." We would like to live at peace with all our neighbors and are more than happy to let them do as they wish as long as they leave us alone.

The official religion is Catholicism. Other religions are permitted, but strictly regulated, and proselytism is strictly prohibited, although this is less often enforced in Southern clans. The Catholic clergy is also exempt from all taxes, other religion's clergy are not.

Dai Nippon Teikoku are will trade til all routes are filled. the poor Gaijin nations with nothing to offer need not apply.

Also, Dai Nippon Teikoku has released more info about itself

Language: Japanese
Social Policy: Glory to the Dai Nippon Teikoku...but with democracy being included.
Fiscal Policy: Corporate-controlled State...
Trade Policy: Free Trade...but a corporate-controlled state isnt all that free.
Currency: Yen
Foreign Policy: Pragmatic, democratic-aligned...by treaty...but by now, its steadfast democratic.
Religion: State Shinto...not required anymore. still encouraged...but no discrimination...same goes for ethnic groups. the emperor was executed by a international tribunal...didn't mean the ministers got off scots free.

It's worth noting that PF has Sicily and I have Gibraltar.

Trade with Panama is fine.

"Trade is the other pillar of your economy. Every coastal province has one Trade Capacity at game start, and can be paired with a coastal province of any other faction to create a Trade Route, providing each side with one IP. A province can only have as many different Routes as it has Capacity, and it cannot trade with the same province multiple times. Utilize trade in addition to your industry to gain an economic advantage.

You can only give IP to nations you either border or have a trade route with."

Basically, if you want to trade, it's province-province.

Then change that to Gibraltar. Quite frankly, Italy & China are confusing, likely violent places soon enough.

Don't ask us to get involved in the war which will likely erupt soon.

I fail to see how I will be voluntarily involved in any wars in the near future, or how you would benefit from losing a trade partner to a warmonger.

the Dai Nippon Teikoku claims all of Japan as its SoI...which makes sense since Nippon is Japanese for Japan.

What's that, like five or six provinces? We will accept this.

If any hypothetical nation STARTS in South America we will allow them to have it, but otherwise our SOI covers Argentina as well. Any COLONIZING nations who claim it will have war declared on them. We may or may not allow colonists in Brazil, talk to us first.

We will watch..and grow from the side lines as Europe finds the second Italian Unification War begin...and see the Chinese Civil War continue...

OOC: yes, any conflict between the RoC and the Qin is the Chinese Civil War...every single time...even if three or 10 wars occur between them...its still the Civil War. technically, the two don't have the option of peace, or the option to recognize the other, as the two are technically at war. the Qin are basically Manchuria, and the RoC...RoC. its obvious that the RoC would have never recognize the Qin, as the Last Emperor destroyed the economy, and lost Korea...to the supposedly inferior people...the Japanese. Its going to turn into a war from day one.

The British Overseas Territories of Iquala

600px-Flag_of_the_British_Indian_Ocean_Territory.svg.png

The Technology to be chosen is Overseas Market Experience, a technology representative of our glorious nation's resplendent past as a British Colony.

Iquala is a Dictatorship in West Africa, formed out of the previous British Overseas Territories there. Iquala remains part of the British Commonwealth but has become greatly self sufficient under the rule of Dr. Gwabe, however soon after independence the native Dr. Gawbe was deposed by a coup lead by Colonel Davies who then took over the nation.

Its National motto is the ironic phrase "It is a Time of Transition in Iquala" and has been maintained through all the transitions of power throughout its life as a self sufficient territory.
