Mecca? That wasn't part of the deal. It used to be that you wanted just the Persian Gulf. But now your insisting to take Mecca too? That's laughable. Now you have given me, Mali, South Africa, and all other Muslim nations a Casu Belli against you. The Muslim world may not be willing to fight to save my monopoly of Arabia, but they sure as hell are willing to fight to save the Holy Land. No, I say to you. The Holy Land shall not fall to the infidels.

The Shah has noted your expansion across Arabia. There is only one such purpose for such a move across the empty desert: to cut off his holy armies from the cities of Mecca and Medina. Ths is already a great insult, but know this: if you claim Holy Mecca as your own, your effrontery will be sufficient cause to unleash his Qizilbash fanatics upon you.

i.e. because of my religious orthodoxy, if a not Shi'a state claims Mecca, I'm petitioning to have a casus belli.

you know i actually considered claiming mecca next turn while you guys vote on it and cede mecca to the winner. as a neutral party, it can be a good idea.

I disaprove of that. An Islamic nation should take Mecca. Having you take it would be like having a Buddhist nation take Jerualem. Sure, they would be neutral, but it would make little sense.

Growing expansion from Ethioia, the Papal States, and Persia makes me fear that I would come out short on land and power. That being said, any naiton that expands into the Arabian lands, lands that would ulimately fall to me, will face agressiveness from me.
