Two wars actually, looking at Mexico. All over the span of six years. If you want to claim six years of aggressive military campaigns is just as bad as a declaration of war intent on stopping another such action, feel free.
@ eduhum, I don't think the S word is allowed in the forums. Regardless, I am laughing.
So why are you going to war? You are an empire (which is almost by definition imperialist) trying to stop a democracy from invading a self described military junta. The democracy (PAU) is invading in order to eliminate a dangerous neighbor that likely doesn't treat its citizens very well since it is a military junta. And you are using the very same excuse, attacking a 'dangerous' (in your perception) neighbor. Doesn't that make you dangerous and belligerent as well?

All of these issues were addressed and countered in the previous discussion, and as I've said before, this war has nothing to do with the ideological alignments of our respective nations.
Also, sorry that this debate took up so many pages of the thread. I would've done it in IOTchat if I had access to it at the time.
As a neutral observer, I can say that Germany has lost the game of words, because at first they say that they are waging war against PAU to defend a democracy (which does not make sense, even if they were really a democracy, because Germany is an Empire not a democracy) and when their ally is revealed to be a Military Junta, they change the whole idea to "defending nations from PAU aggression", thus completely changing the reason for which they wage war.
Again, the first statement I made in regards to the Vancouver government was NOT a declaration of war goals, and the goal from the start was to contain PAU aggression, as it was suggested in the ultimatum.
The PAU has no intention of waging a war anywhere else other than North America. If Australia and the UAR refrain from naval activity in the Pacific Ocean, including the convoying and shipping of arms in the Pacific, then the PAU will have no need to be actively engaged in the Pacific.
Otherwise, Australia and the UAR will be guilty of expanding the war into the Pacific, against the wishes of GEAR.
The continued shipping of arms is an issue though. However, I would like to ask for clarification, would military vessels from Australia and elsewhere be able to navigate freely so long as they don't partake in military actions in the region?
No it isn't. Any military shipping across the Pacific to support the NWU will be construed as military shipping, and hence subject to PAU response as it is in our self-defense.

The United States of America was born in 1776 and in a baptism of fire emerged triumphant in her revolutionary war against an empire in 1783.
In 1812, America once again had to defend herself against an empire hellbent on her destruction and the subjugation of her people to monarchical rule. Once again, the American people triumphed.
The story of America is littered with our proud nation opening her doors to those seeking prosperity and freedom in the land of the free and brave. Ours is a nation of idealists, fleeing the monarchs of Europe and Asia to make a better future for themselves and their children.
However, we have made mistakes. When we tried to make the world safe for democracy in 1917, conditions outside our control, specifically the greed of the European emperors, led to the United States failing to achieve her goal of making a world ripe for free markets, free people, and free government. We retreated into ourselves, saying we shall never get involved again.
Then 1939 happened. We stood and watch as the Germano-Austrian forces of the Reich rampaged across Europe, slaughtering millions. We said, "It can't happen here!" We felt safe and complacent behind the Atlantic and Pacific Walls right up to the moment Japan attacked.
My fellow countrymen. The government will admit we did not achieve all we desired in our war against the NWU. We wanted to bring mass murderers to justice and restore the northwest portion of the former United States, of whom we claim descent, to republican democracy. Thanks to the machinations of the Austro-Hungarians, Arabs, and Turks, we failed.
But we can't fail now. The Austro-Hungarians, Arabs, and Turks conspired during those five long years. The NWU is no longer just a military junta. It has become the Springboard of Tyranny, through which the Tripartite Dictatorships of Austria-Hungary, Arabia, and Turkey seek to dive into the American heartland.
Look at the recent statements by the Austro-Hungarian Emperor.

No, but we're prepared to sacrifice several men to save Vancouver from a democracy that vastly underestimates the forces aligned against them.
