*cough* Ships usually take more than two months to build, let alone design, fit, launch, equip and commission.

OOC: usually, yes, but for the purposes of this game, all ships take one season to construct. this game wont last for the two years needed to build an Aircraft carrier, for example.

Gangnam Military Effort

The GRP's attempts to turn Vladivostok into a massive military base succeeded. Construction of multiple stealth jet fighters already began. The massive airbase near Vladivostok already finished three fighters and is testing them on the unpopulated, outlying islands.

Due to the current war, much effort is being put into stealth. The Gangnam Restoration Program is funding the construction of an energy wall that would block enemy radars from noticing anything inside said wall. The Energy Wall will be sustained directly from the GUGEOP Plant and will hide Gangnam and allied troops, navies and aerial fleets from japanese sight until they are out of the shield. The Shield will also allow detection of incoming Japanese ships faster than conventional radar.

Meanwhile, on the border with Japan, in the west, positions are fortified and traps are laid out. Tech experts from around the Republic have gathered at Seoul and put a teamwork effort into jamming Japanese communications on the mainland. Computer programmers and hackers are being paid to break into Japanese intelligence and do as much damage as possible.

Also, ports all around the Korean peninsula are prepared for war, and military bases in the entire Republic fortify the bases in record-breaking times, knowing that danger is near. Also, elite troops are training the enwbies into survival techniques and guerilla warfare. On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is your average untrained stromtrooper mook and 10 is Rambo with dual gatling guns, even the weakest soldier is rated at least 6. Only few get to 9.

The few Japanese scouts, immigrants and tresspassers caught so far are thoroughly interrogated and kept under permanent surveillance. Security hs been tightened and the state put rewards for citizens aiding in the war effort, to increase speed and efficiency.

This... is... GANGNAM STYLE!

Citizens of the Platonic Republic; a diplomatic battle between the reasonable forces of justice of the Platonic Republic and the naive chaos driven Indonesians is currently being commenced. This battle of words, not guns, set out for the Platonics' desire to maintain justice versus the naive path to bow to barbarism and chaos. It is a demonstration of Plato's warning of the danger of populist dictation and why it is best for the wise to be set to govern instead of the naive who were mistakenly given charge of sailing the state by a popularity contest as oppose to investigation whether they would be the best captains for the ship and to be able to sail to the destination despite the many storms and other dangers the seas process.

We have been offering special technological trade links with Indonesia in a attempt to bring our powers the advancements needed to increase prosperity, as well as to allow the Productive Caste the means of greater appetite, to provide the Protective Caste more tools of courage and to allow the Governing Caste more knowledge to enhance the power of the most just society, the Platonic Republic. Yet reason has given way to fear and an naive sense of the international for the Indonesians it seems for they return to condemn Operation Eunomia for our "crime" of liberating the city from terrorists. It appears, according to the Indonesian, that when one faces guns the solution is to lay down arms and, in utter ignorance, forsake the means of your defense. Our actions in Thessaloniki were necessary for the salvation of Greece and for the unity of the Platonic Republic. The Republic cannot tolerate open threats by the People's Militia against the Republic and its peoples. It leaves us stunned that Indonesia would respond by us taking softly to what are basically traitors to the peace and justice of Plato.

The issue in Libya is one of civil defense, for it is the right... no; it is the duty... of a state to protect itself and its citizens from harm, be the cancer that serves as a threat be foreign or domestic. The People's Militia, whom threaten civil war against us, cannot be given lesson that threatening the Republic would get them their way via the Indonesian purposeful of diplomacy. Truth be we are giving them diplomacy; either they renounce their terrorist acts and face up to a trail which will determine their fates peacefully or continue to threaten Platonic citizens with open rebellion, which would in turn cause great suffering for not just the citizens but the stability of the Mediterranean. There is no deals with terrorism; you either stop it before it grows more cancerous or pay your due. So be our response to kill those who wave a gun at us "human rights abuse;" we have not invaded another sovereign nation like Japan with full frontal force, nor have we used fire or other chemical based weapons on even the combatants. We targeted only insurgents and their fellow gunners, not citizens, especially not children as the terrorists of the People Militia claim.

Abu al-Fadl Abdulrashid, the Islamic Socialist leader of the People's Militia, will in the end be charged with crimes against the state and its citizens, not placed a soft sentence by the Indonesian ignorant and naive government. Our Caste System, set by the wisdom of Plato, is set so that citizens may know their proper place as suited to the souls and can best perform their functions as human beings, not be contested by populist dictation which Indonesia is demonstrating to follow with utter ignorance and naive outlook towards international relations.

We have offered the trade pacts with Indonesia as a way to see them rise above the populist dictations but it appears that even peacefully technology of the Platonics is "against humanity" with Indonesia turning their backs on Rome. So happens Plato did say that a bad democracy is worse then a bad dictatorship. Rome, ruled by a wise emperor, is not blinded by the naive ignorance of Indonesia and that we hail our allies. Emperor Andreas of Rome has shown moderation, courage and wisdom in the face of Indonesia. Andreas is of justice, where the populists are of injustice. We of the Platonic Republic, set to the most just of society by respect to our castes and focus to our virtues, admire those who follow their virtues without failing or naive hypocrisy.

We follow the realist notions of international law, for there is no international law Sadly the world is governed by chaos, with ships that are states lost in the seas of violence and injustice. The saver ships are those who are governed with efficiency, by all knowing their roles and their duties. Should Indonesia reject our offer to make our vessels more secure through prosperity then so be it; they have lost their dealings with Romes thanks to their ill path and continue a downward trend into anarchism, when the ship sinks. Thessaloniki, if left unliberated, would have place a small hole that would have sunk the Platonic Republic. The People's Militia is attempting to sink our vessel. We cannot endanger the lives of our sailors and crew by being naive. We must be realists; knowing that the world is governed by chaos and that to best this chaos one must adopt order, for the state of nature is what condition is set without a state to govern. The Republic sets to make the maximum order, hindering the states of nature that seem so present in this age especially. We cannot allow our guard down.

To this end though Indonesia is not irredeemable. It can be saved by heeding reason, for not calling discipline "human rights violations" for the true human rights violators are those who fail to protect their fellow citizens, as the People's Militia to set many to their dooms. Indonesia must re-establish its trade with Rome, for Indonesia had only shown that it is it which is following ideological blindness, not the just Platonics or the brave Romans. Indonesia only need set our economic offerings, at least in the non-military domain, so that prosperity will come. Denying this is denying the Productive Caste access to additional tools. Know your place as but one of many ships in the sea and agree to make dealings with two of the most just governed. You can learn a lot from both of us Indonesia; do not deny it in the name of naive populists! Repent for justice's sake.

Hence we, the Republic, face many challenges. The Philosopher Council, the most burned with the task of leadership among the Governing Caste, will continue its part. I will continue my service with my fellow philosopher councilors to steer the ship of the Republic to calmer waters. We offer our hands to many so they may heed our wisdom, especially the naive and ignorant who need it the most. Indonesia must strive to better steer their vessel and accept the responsibilities of the pragmatical leader.

We must steer well in these chaotic times.

Yes; can the USA confirm if the order we set has arrived? We need to know we are secured.

the USA also needs to confirm our order of 20 Aircraft carriers. the money has been sitting there on the transport ship for weeks...

The Platonic Republic is to announce that it is under talks with the UAR to see to a alternative methodology in dealing with the People's Militia. This may include the exile of the People's Militia leader, Abu al-Fadl Abdulrashid, to Jerusalem. Thessaloniki's status is also getting suited.

NATIONAL TELEVISION OF INDONESIA
"Bringing to Indonesia - The World."

Indonesia's Military Reforms Declared.
Following several developments worldwide and after being hinted by many military developments that have been announced recently, General Secretary C.Cecilia today announced in the national parliament several military initiatives that Indonesia will take in the wake of the war that embroiled many nations into bloodshed.

The reforms includes the construction of new military equipment(s) such as the ones that have previously been hinted like small-fast-raider Submarines, the Ambalat Defense system, and also the "dronification" of the military equipments.

While policy and strategic reforms includes a more intensive recruitment campaign, and the creation of a new curriculum in schools and institutes of education to teach the youth modern-self defense. There are also a shift in the national industry where a small percentage of the industry is directed towards weapons manufacturing.

As of now, 3D Printers and Robotic Assemblies are already starting to produce military equipment from foods and bags to rifles and rockets. Heavier industries also begins to produce APCs and Tanks, and also the long-discussed drones.

Military equipment such as Tanks, Armored Cars, Submarines, and Airplanes is planned to consist mostly of drones. In which it is controlled from home, or from a forward base to prevent human casualties and most of these equipment would be a light-fast type of equipment, which prioritizes speed and mobility, while possessing good firepower.

Meanwhile, the navy would also consist of AI-operated vessels, but still with a reasonable amount of crew for maintenance and advanced operation. Most of the navy will consist of small-raider ships such as diesel submarines and cruisers.

The military chooses light equipment(s) so that it could easily be mass produced and replaced in a short period of time. Light equipment(s) would also be more fitting in Indonesia's tropical terrain.

Critics says there are many issues with these drone-based military. Ranging from the vulnerability to EMP strikes and hacking. The military though, is not worried. The drones and even most civil equipment(s) in Indonesia that is being produced is designed to withstand EMP attacks by means such as proper covering. Hackers should also not become a problem, as Indonesia's drone coding is overly-complicated and would be almost impossible to hack. Indonesia themselves have established a military cyberteam since the early 21st century to combat enemy cyber attacks.

C.Cecilia: "The world is currently in a difficult time where nations are forced to fend for themselves as the threat of conflict looms in their border each and every second. Peaceful nations that seek to be prosperous through trade and cooperation were forced to arm themselves for their own survival against those who look for the obsolete glory of war and conquest. Indonesia shall stay on its roots, we shall not pursuit the victory that other nations try to achieve; a victory that is marked, by: Which nation can kill the most."

This K-06 "Anoa" is a remote-controlled light Tank that would be the backbone of Indonesia's military.

Indonesia's Automobile Industry.
As the roads in cities and between towns are completed, an industrial sector that once boomed in the 2000s begins to boom again.

Dearale: "The need of cheap-small personal cars are rising !"

Said President Dearale as she cruises with a new factory produced Kancil car around the factory's parking lot. The Kancil is an environmentally friendly lightweight small electric car, that is designed for personal commutes within a city; it would be used for Indonesians to purchase groceries or go to work, or whenever they feel a need of personal space that public transportation cannot give. These cars are mass-produced and stockpiled in a considerably small amount, as Indonesia's population would still prefer the use of mass transportation. The actual target of the development of the automotive Industry is the international market, where a cheap and easily maintainable small automobile can easily compete, as many nations haven't begin to develop a sizable automobile industry.

This movement is a part of Indonesia's industrial attempt to become an economic powerhouse and a leading exporting country, while also trying to fill out the gaps made by the nations as they geared their industry towards the military.

Dearale: "Cecilia said 'Victory with Teacups', I'd say, in this little Indonesian car 'Let us drive towards Victory !!!"

The small and environmentally friendly "Kancil" is one of the earliest automobile design that comes out of the factory to be used by Indonesians and also to be exported to other nations. Light cars such as Kancil is designed for daily inner-city commutes.

Indonesia plans to invest in New Rhodesia
New Rhodesia is a country, that despite of its limitless potential, manage to stay out of most of the world's limelight. The war in Vietnam overshadows the news and developments that happened in New Rhodesia.

Though the country still faces internal instability such as the recent attempt on the President, it is undoubtedly growing and may become a leading world economy if nurtured well. The Rhodesian region is full of natural minerals that are well-accessible, and furthermore their union with Mozambique gave them a sea-access and even-more resources.

But their current main problem is that internal problems divert their capabilities to pour resources to develop their economy. Indonesia, as a burgeoning economy, sees Rhodesia as a potential major trade ally, and a nation that it can cooperate with to benefit each other. Plans have been offered by government funded investors to the Rhodesian government for an comprehensive Indonesian foreign investment in Rhodesia.

Indonesian plans would range from the construction of a major seaport for trade in Mozambique, to the development of housing and infrastructure in Rhodesia. But Indonesian investors must still wait for Rhodesian response regarding this initiative.

The Anoa looks suspiciously like a Self-Propelled Gun.

Malacca would like to take the chance of extending an offer to jointly investigate in the field of nuclear propulsion and to develop new naval propeller systems to Sichuan. We would also be most pleased if we could fund a joint venture to develop more efficient nuclear reactors for civilian uses.

In another order of affairs, we would like to purchase our small arms from Sichuanese arms companies.

OOC: surprising indeed. Well, it still looks like a SPG.

Claudia drummed her fingers on the desk nervously. Her eyes drifted to the ornate golden clock on the wall. Only an hour to midnight. Claudia looked over her advisors like a chess prodigy planning her next move. Then the silence was shattered by the phone ringing on her right. Thorsten picked it up, listened briefly, then hung up.

"The vote hasn't come up yet," he muttered, snuffing out his cigarette in the ashtray. "The Junkers are still debating the reunification."

Simon Kohl, the visiting diplomat from the Prussian states, slammed a fist on the table. "Damn those senile fools. They're stalling until midnight so the vote doesn't go through."

"I thought we had a majority supporting reunification," Claudia pointed out.

"We did, but the Junkers stalling hold a lot of influence. No one is going to contest them if they keep stalling. Damn it!" Kohl repeated. "If the vote doesn't get underway by midnight..."

"We need to wait another year for Germany," Claudia finished. Kohl nodded curtly. "This can't happen again. What do you suggest?"

"Keeping terrorism down and pro-German rhetoric has convinced the patriotic Junkers to support us, and our assumed stance against the French brings the states bordering them into our fold..." the Diplomatic minister counted off.

"That won't be enough," Kohl interrupted. "These old hardliners care more about their own wealth and power then about those feminists. They're happy with going alone, so they won't join with us without a substantial investment."

"Are you saying we need to bribe them?" Claudia asked tentatively.

"I would use a more refined term, but a bribe would do fine for now," Kohl explained. "Not just an influx of cash, but the promise of more wealth in the future if they agree to this."

Claudia sighed. "Well, I was hoping we wouldn't have to use this, but I guess it's our only option..."

The room went eerily quiet, the rhythmic ticking of the clock scraping against the silence. After a few seconds, Thorsten leaned forward.

"This is not public knowledge yet," he said carefully. "We don't want all of our deals to be public knowledge."

"All of our...?"

"Mr. Kohl, you are aware of the arms deal we made with Heckler and Koch, as well as the treaties the Archduchess signed with Indonesia. Everyone knows about them, no secrets there. Without a modernized army, we stand no chance against our enemies."

"Yes, yes, we've discussed this," Kohl reiterated. "Promising to set up H&K factories in key Prussian states convinced a few, but it will not convince the rest. They aren't tooled for producing small arms, so anything smaller then armored vehicles is useless to them."

The economic minister cleared his throat. "Armored vehicle production has already exceeded expected production levels. If we allow the Prussians to produce vehicles as well, it would produce a damaging surplus that would cascade into an economic collapse."

"Which is why we provided funding to Wulfric Engineering for the production of-"

"Wait, Wulfric Engineering?" Kohl interrupted. "You gave funding to them? They don't create heavy weapons. They're a think tank obsessed with electronics. What good would they do?"

"You would be surprised, Mr. Kohl," Thorsten quipped, pushing an unmarked folder in front of him. Kohl threw it open and poured over the pages. Jargon about armor plating and weapons aside, he saw nothing overly fantastic. He reached the last page, marked with a single, bolded word: Eisenmann. It was a detailed set of sketches and blueprints of what was unmistakably...

"No," Kohl stammered. "No...just...you can't be serious..."

Claudia smiled. "I did not believe it myself at first. It's a risky endeavor, but from what I've seen..."

"Risky?" he blurted out, his face going pale. "This goes beyond a simple risk! It's pure speculation! Mythical! A naive fool's pipe dream!"

"Mr. Kohl," the economics minister interjected. "Would you mind sharing this pipe dream with the rest of us."

"The Archduchess proposes," Kohl said tersely, "that we convince the Junkers to join us by allowing this Wulfric company to produce...THIS!"

He slammed the folder on the table in front of him, revealing the drawings of something unmistakably human-shaped and massive, covered with metallic armored plates and mounted with several weapons.

"Mein gott..." the minister exclaimed. "It's..."

"Pure fiction!" Kohl shouted. "How do you expect to convince the Junkers to produce this...this..."

"The term the scientist used was a powered oversized exoskeleton," explained Claudia. "It will get an official name once the prototype is complete."

"No one in their right mind would support this, even with a working prototype. This 'mecha suit' is merely-"

"An interesting toy, but of no military value, right?" Thorsten declared. "Marshal Ferdinand Foch said that almost two hundred years ago. Do you know what he was referring to, Mr. Kohl?"

"What?"

"The airplane."

Thorsten snatched the blueprint from the table and slammed it on the table in front of him. "This is no mere toy. What we have here is a weapon with the armor of a tank but the mobility of a soldier. If it performs as expected, we can outmaneuver or outgun every threat we face on the battlefield. Not even the French would stand a chance against a squadron of these things. This will change the world, and the damned Junkers will appreciate that. And if they don't care about making history, they can at least profit from it. We'll make history either way."

Kohl swallowed, trying to take in what was being shown to him. Claudia picked up the telephone.

"I'm going to have a chat with the stalling members. Let's see what they think of our little project."

One hour later

The woman in glasses dug her nails into the arms of the ratty armchair. The anchorman on the television smiled back at her, blissfully unaware of the torture she wanted to inflict upon his stupid, smug face.

"We've just received word that the Prussian lords, commonly known as the Junkers, have agreed to a union with Austria. The formation of the new German state is expected to occur within a few months, followed by the crowning of Archduchess Claudia as Empress of all Germany. Reaction from locals are-"

The woman turned the television off, basking in the darkness. So the harlot managed to unite the Germans. This would make her quest so much easier...

Seriously, Reus, where the $&@# do you find the time for all this??

the Roman Empire would like to point out that the mecha thing actually has no military value. it is horribly ineffective and stupidly easy to defeat, and also relatively very expensive to build and maintain. and, the average human is way more manuverable than that thing.

i cant find any proof as to why its bad, but im sure its obvious enough, right?

Roman soldiers would actually laugh at it, before firing a tank shell onto the leg, making it useless on the battlefield.
