Manchuria is no longer populated by Han Chinese, and the situation is like this from before the formation of the Gangnam Republic.
Also, all Chinese citizens of the Gangnam Republic are free to move out to China at any time, as China has military access through Gangnam, and our borders are opened, allowing our citizens to move to your nation freely.

Do not compare the average Korean to the average Chinese citizen of the Gangnam Republic. The two groups have their own ethnical identity, which is respected. Chinese citizens are allwoed to speak their language, keep their religion, and they are now even semi-independent.

The regions of the Gangnam republic not highlighted in purple in my earlier map do not have a major Han Chinese population ( way under 7.5%). You have NO RIGHT to ask for more.

And do not threaten the Gangnam Republic again.

For the last time: The integrity of the Gangnam nation is derived from the will of the people to be part of it. People WANT to be in the Gangnam Republic, for their protection against the Japanese, for the higher life standards in the Republic.... and because you were unable to secure their lives faster.

If they wouldn't want it, they would leave, they would riot or would accept the territorial transfer accepted by the Gangnam Republic. But they don't do it. In fact, they condemn the Gangnam Republic got caving in to your greedy demands.

Just speaking as a humble GM here but is it not a reasonable solution that Gangnam should put it up to a referendum after the war is over. Since both nations are at a state of war I don't currently see why this should be a high priority for either of you.

The situation looks grim.
China has gone power-mad and wants Gangnam territories for itself based on an outdated belief, in the midst of a massive war against Japan.
While Japan is a major antagonist, it is not the biggest threat.

The Chinese refuse to lay low with their claims, forcing me to instate Yao Cheng as President of Han... but it still isn't enough for their greedy minds. We cannot silence the expansionist Chinese without battle.... and the Japanese have so far shown next to no interest into attacking the Gangnam Republic. This forced me to make the following decision. I may regret it. I may get criticized, but the the sake of Gangnam's integrity.... and at the request of the Han Chinese and Korean citizens.... War is declared on China.

A ceasefire is offered to Japan until the situation with China is resolved.
The Gangnam Republic does not want to be looked upon as a supporter of Japan, but the situation is too critical. The Gangnam Republic is willing to recognize Japanese sovereignty over mainland China , if the Japanese manage to keep those provinces from being conquered. This is a compromise, a sacrifice that must be made to ensure peace.

The Han Chinese population asked to lead attacks on China personally, to prove them that they do not want unification with an insane, oppressive and maniacal nation that betrays it's allies over petty territorial issues that could as well be solved during peace times.


I am therefore ...giving military command to Han president Yao Cheng.
Han and Gangnam armies will march upon Chinese lands and kill any armed person who acts aggressively or claims that Han and Manchuria are rightfully Chinese. It is not my will for them to do so. With the importance of combating Japan we must set the following words of a proud Protective Caste member, General Xylon Toto the Liberator of Thessaloniki. He said this to a Platonic news agency...

To have courage one must not only face fear but do so with justice. Yet courage must be restrained by wisdom, as the Protective Caste is restrained by the Governing Caste. To know no fear is not to be of courage but of ignorance; hence to be of courage is to know thy enemy but also thyself.

China and Korea must heed that the virtue of justice is made of three other virtues: moderation, courage and wisdom. Moderation, the virtue of the Productive Caste, was what helped in the agreements between Rome and the Platonic Republic. By attacking China Korea risks making stronger Japan. Japan is against Korean interests, yet Korea goes for a ally instead of the common foe. Such move is unwise, excessive and even cowardly in many ways. Korea must repent and heed the directive against Japan, not China.

As the Platonics faced the terrorists of the People's Militia so to must the world face the imperial terrorism of Japan. Japan is unfit to remain a sovereign country and we must hence do our bid to have Japan pay its due.

For this justice must be the driving directive for a united response.

The Gangnam Republic is willnig to return to status quo with China only and ONLY if they stop claiming that I have a tyrannical regime and if they acknowledge that Manchuria is rightful Gangnam territory and the Chinese population inside Gangnam borders is content with the current situation, not wanting to join the Six Nations of China.

Also, because of pressure from foreign officials, the Gangnam republic resumes WAR AGAINST JAPAN. The initial war plans against Japan will continue, altough the forces will be thinned to aid in the war against China.

Seeing as Japan has somehow managed to use divide and conquer tactics by complete accident we must commend both Gangnam and China for giving so much aid to Japan in their war effort. Truly.

The Platonic Republic is setting a Governing Caste member to Manchuria for the following directive; to host a peace summit between China and Korea.

As part of the generation of future Philosopher Council members Domenico Salomon from Sicily will want to see peace between China and Korea. Justice dictates that both China and Korea must seek such efforts of peace instead of wasting each others war resources; we must focus on the common enemy that is Japan!

Disappointing, but I must take heed to accede to the word of the GM. I don't really see why this is such a big deal though. Why is is unacceptable? This is the utmost reasonable, obvious, and logical path for any player of China, and thusly it should have been quite clear that this avenue of approach would have occurred, especially in opportune occasions such as this. I'm honestly at a complete loss as to why people are in such disbelief and throwing around arbitrary reasons such as anger and subsequent unreliability in reason for this inevitable measure.

I would like to personally point out that Japan is no god. Merely an archaic, delusional dictatorship yearning for their past history of empires and shogunates. One petty ally down against Japan does little harm. Especially when more prominent members are seeking to follow paths of military self-destruction, here's to looking at one in particular.
