When the teachers are interesting, and can make boring stuff interesting school's pretty good. Unfortunately, English teachers fail this criteria so badly that the class just plays games all the time. Being at a laptop school rather good.

My school has gone to sh1t.

Blatant racism, brawls, tons of stupid teens, and a beauracracy to stupid to do anything about it. I am just thankful for a couple teachers I have had who are truly great.

A couple of brawls at my school would be a good thing, it'd liven things up a little. Although, I'd probably be playing downball at the times the brawls happen, so that kinda defeats the purpose.

The reason they do not let you express your opinion is because most teenagers' 'opinions' involve insulting the teacher or his/her authority. I've seen it all before; teacher sends a student outside for wearing headphones, student proceeds to bang on about his/her 'rights'.

And the reason they tell you what to do is because they know better.

1. They won't let kids play their own music in case they have bad lyrics, but they play (c)rap music that are just as bad as the lyrics I wrote with my friend

2. They ban geocities and Proboards, but I sometimes see kids playing games when they're supposed to be doing work

Funny story tough, once on my old school there was this "kid" around 13 who used to prove how tough he was by bullying around this small and skinny kid. The teachers all saw it but pretended it was they where just playing around and no harm and all that.
One day his holding up his victim against the wall as usualy slapping him and calling him names, and then out of the blue (well not really) his skinny victim breaks free, punches him right in the face and breaks his nose

Im usually against violence but he really had it comming, after that he still pretended to be the dangerous one but noboddy took him seriously. The teachers also finally took a hold of it and atleast made the class polite to eachother. And the puncher went back to being the quiet kid in the corner

They don't let you express your opinion, and they tell you exactly what to do, and when you don;t comply, they send you to labor camps...err, in-school suspension.

You'd fit right in with my school. Bunch of little anarchists... Down in Tennessee we were good little obedient students. it really does get annoying after a while though. There's just so many times you can listen to kids talking about their fascist teachers and administrators (they're actually very nice and lenient) and continuing about how free speech means you can do whatever you want without repercussions.

You shouldn't bully people unless they deserve it...I only bully emo kids....I hate emo's.

They deserve getting bullied they're a bunch of spoilt brat whiners looking for attention, they think they have such a hard time in life, they have no idea what hardship really is...damn it I hate them so much....
