The navies are the same size and consistantcy (except destroyers and light cruisers) as the navies from my game. I'm sorry to say, Sheep, that i neglected Italy's naval strength after Japan beat me and focuses on building a huge, modern army.

The government is for the first time ever, united. Communists, Facists, Socialists, Monarchists, Liberals, Conservatives, Independants, and Centrists voted unanimously about a bill being sent through parliament. They have, with a vote of 157 to 0, established April 24 as the Armenian Genicide Remembrance Day. They say that with so many peoples in the Astro-Hungarian empire, they must remember massacres which happened in nearby countries.

Said a Centrist MP, Riso Hittker "We have many cultures and treat them equally, so we should extend that hand out to oppressed cultures everywhere. The peaceful Arawak and warlike Aztecs, as well as Armenians, Jews,, Poles, Ukranians, Kurds, and Kazakhstanis have all been victims of genocide or oppression in the past 500 years. Had we been able to, we could have helped. To make up for not helping then, we will help ALL oppressed peoples now!"

Austria has issued an ultimatum to Turkey saying that they must allow Armenia to create a nation with the capital of Trebizond. The following is a map of the soon to be created Turkish Armenia

Should they reject this, Austria shall be forced to go to war with Turkey.

King and Prime Minister for life of the Dual Kingdom of Austria-Hungary Franz II had this to say "In the past, Austria has been biased against our subject people! We revoked rights from Poles, Bosnians, Croats, and Ruthenes. We did not let them sit in government, or learn their own language, or have their own universities. No more! We have already passed through the "equal rights" bill, but didn't announce it until now. Any new people that join our nation shall be unoppressed! All old peoples inside the empire shall be considered equal with Austrians and Hungarians."

To finish up their anti-genocide ideals, Austria is calling for all nations to sign the Sarajevo Accord, a deal that makes genocide the most severe crime, punishable by nothing by death if convicted by a special international court. This is because genocide is worse than murder, as it is not murdering for anger at what a person has done to you, but deliberate murder of a people just because of who they were born to.

Copies of the Sarajevo Accord are being sent to every nation, with hopes of them returning it signed.

EDIT : We are still hoping for Turkish Armenia, not because of Genocide, but because they want independance. All mentions of that genocide, as well as the Irish have been struck from the record.

The Sarajevo Accord​

1. Genocide is a series of crimes commited against a group of people based on race, religion, or nationality.

2. Genocide has to have both the physical element and the mental element to be called "genocide"


2.a The physical element includes :
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

2.b The mental element, meaning the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such".

3. The following crimes are punishable by a military court:
(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(d) Attempt to commit genocide;
(e) Complicity in genocide.

4. The following people can be found guilty of genocide:
a) the nation's leader
b) the general staff
c) the soldiers who perpetrated acts of genocide by their own choice without orders
d) the commanders of the army
e) the leader of a rebel group
f) any citizen who commits genocide crimes of their own accord.

5. In signing this document, we agree to punish all people who commit genocide, and to go towards the elimination of genocide from existance. We agree to invoke either economic or military actions against nations who commit genocide.

Because of this accord, Austria Hungary places a trade embargo on Turkey, and encourages other countries to do the same.

Swiss, the troops and the ships used were already ready for operations; transoceanic voyages in the modern era don't take all that much time.

And the attack was not because of an OOC comment, unless your entire doctrine - and the subsequent refusal to remove it - were OOC.

Turkey murdered 1,500,000 Armenians, a subject people of theirs.

Did that happen in this world (i.e. did EQ confirm such a fact?)?

I don't know that. I used OTL for this, as they would have done something like that again anyways. I know that in earlier days before the breakoff from OTL they had a seperate and less known about massacre of armenians, so I am saying it has happened again. If that is a problem, i will have to come up with some other rationale.

Also, this is said by an MP who would do anything to advance his cause.

I didn't make those nationalities up, but took them from places. Still, some of those genocides happened after breakoff, so I guess they might not make a difference in this.

frankly it does not matter who has been genocided, this organisation wants to make the world more civilized by seeing it as a way to prevent things we have seen in the past.

Armenian genocide never occured. Also Potatoe famine was nothing, ireland has been one of the world's most prosperous nations since its liberation in 1853. In the game itself they were the world's third highest industrial power, but i adjusted this for the NES.

All NPC nations will sign the Sarajevo accord, although England recommends an addition referring to the treatment of prisoners of war, much like OTL Geneva Convention.

"I was fed false information, and given faked photographs. I falsely accused a country of a wrongdoing that they actually did not commit. I would like to apologize for this, yet at the same time give full backing to Turkish Armenians who want the same independance all members of the Empire have. Though I do not believe they need to be paid compensation, I still believe the ultimatum's goal of a new nation for Armenians is a good one. Therefore, I shall withdraw HALF of the ultimatum, the section on compensation. As for creating Armenia, I strongly support this."
