I think you got this one in the bag.

Yeah the only real threat was Germany, as they were starting to run away with things had i not interfered.
Once i got their cap the game was over.
No other AI has managed to become huge or do well in tech in the same way Germany did, so i've had little competition.

I am delighted to be able to finish Autocracy...it's going to be insane how strong i am in war with the finisher.

thanks for all the pics... i love reading these during a slow day at work. seems like a fun game, i never tried frontier before, i think i might give it a try next!

Yeah i love screenies, so i know i've got a lot.
I can't tell a good story, but i can share about the game via screenshots, and those tell a better story than i can :p

My favorite thing when reading about other people's games is seeing their screenies, hehe.

Frontier makes really interesting maps, i'll say that.
Never really know what they will look like, very much like Fractal in that regard.

For the next update you'll see that i discover there's a huge sea separating landmasses that is not accessible via the rest of the ocean due to ice, so in order to reach the remaining land-based civs i must swim all my land units across it.

The most time consuming part of this game is just moving the units from one area to the next due to how massive the map is!

The Huns fought hard, but they simply could not handle the technological superiority their Arabian attackers possessed.
From far back, Artillery fired upon the few remaining defenders and at last, Attila's Court fell.

After spending many years forming lines holding hands to form a preventative line, Harun had had enough.
War is declared on Spain again, for one reason alone: to kill their prophet.
In one shot, the city destroys their carrier of pagan faith.
Not too long afterwards, with no units lost on either side, Spain accepts peace.

Our naval fleet has set sail for western targets, and encounter a herd of swimming Songhaimen somewhat far from home...not sure where they are going, but the fact they are far from home works quite well with what Harun has planned for their homeland.

No, for some reason it does not show liberated civs in that list. They are still around.
With Germany "dominating" the southern area of crap cities, i suspect both Sweden and Greece will be in trouble though.

As i mentioned in the initial post, this game might take me a while to finish.

It took so long mainly due to how much i procrastinated finishing it off, since it's rather insanely tedious in these huge war games.

Continuing on...

Last time we left things, my military was swimming across toward the lands of the Celts.

We decide to convince Boudicca to attack her neighbor Dido so she'll be occupied when we declare we on her.

t324, goal achieved. Victory by domination.
Definitely a slow start, but once we acquired the German capital, the game was in cruise control and it was just a matter of moving units around.
Getting flight was a massive boost and the entire endgame war was primary won with bombers.
I was so far ahead in tech that Dido had just gotten a couple Great War Bombers as i was capturing her cities.

I think this Frontier map proved to be an excellent choice, as there was a bit of everything.
Land battles, naval battles, and sections where i had to move land units across sea sections due to how the landmasses cut off access via sea.

Happiness.
For the entire last part of the game, it worked out incredibly well, and i didn't even need to annex all that many cities (for the courthouse +3 happy) or worry about rush buying any buildings.
I could have easily bought Stadiums all over to have been well in the + happiness, but i didn't care at the end.

But it looks like you had fun :)

I found the map interesting as i've never really played a game with such interesting landmass shapes.

I should have done Immortal as Emperor is a bit too easy usually, but i was worried that with 15 civs a runaway would get too far ahead of me and i really didn't feel like posting about a loss.

I had great fun; it just got kinda tedious for the end as the game was long over and moving around so many different units was very time consuming.

Probably won't do anything like this again anytime soon, but it was fun.

Nice win. I wasn't thinking about you already being that close to winning for some reason.

Good job though.

Me thinks most of them will be too busy fighting amongst one another, unless they happen to start relatively isolated, but that also seems kinda unlikely even with this map script.

Of course there's the problem of a sandvich start...
