I have a work colleague called Padraic and he pronounces it "Porrik". I guess there must be dialectal changes as well.

Corkonian probably, they don't know how to speak (or even spell, I had a friend named "Paraic"). If he is tell him that Cork were fierce poxy on Sunday.

I thought it was pronounced Nawlins, ditch the 'u' sound.
 
Hmm, I really don't know. My grandmother pronounces the 'u', and so do I, but neither of us are from New Orleans so we're not exactly experts or anything.
 
I had a math teacher from Nawlins. It was unique.

I like my avatar and my custom title is pretty self planatory.
 
I was under the impression that it was "New Orleans", sounding every vowel :)
