Tupac Yupanqui:

On one hand, 2Pac memes
On the other hand, Wikipedia says he had some sort of fondness for Quito, and he seems to be the Incan Empire's most prolific conqueror. Between those two points and "his" expedition to the Pacific, I'm sure there's fertile ground for an more expansionist Incan empire, maybe even one with four provincial subcapitals (hmm), somewhere.

2pac memes is inspired in another Tupac of Inca empire. It is inspired in Tupac Amaru (maybe the first, maybe the second).
Both are in the poll but don't receive any vote.

He's named after the second one I think. The Neo-Incan state isn't nearly as interesting as the actual Tawantinsuyu Empire though. Maybe if it had survived longer -- I think they were able to briefly adopt both gunpowder and cavalry before getting overrun.

I need to disagree. The Neo-Incan state (or Incas of Vilcabamba) are very interesting. Maybe not so amazing as Tawantinsuyu, but still an amazing history of resistence against the Spanish empire. They survived untill 1572 (When the Aztecs was already vanished from the map) and had 4 rulers.
From these leaders I should pic Manco Inca Yupanqui (also know as Manco Cápac II). He was an Inca in Cusco under the Spanish ruler (who used him as a puppet king), escape from captivity and regrouped the Inca empire in the Antisuyo. The suyo of the rainflorest. (because the Inca's isn't just the master of the rough terrain, but is also kings in a rain florest).

And I guess the Incas of Vilcabamba also used horses against the spaniards

There's also the story in Sikh Scripture where 30 Sikh Warriors held out against, and defeated, some ridiculously overwhelming number of Afghans.
Are you referring to the last stand a group of Sikhs made in a fortified base against an army of invading Afghans? Because that was in the 1800s, and those Sikhs were serving under the Union Jack. Would be very surprised if that made into Sikh scripture

This leader was mentioned to me, first, by a Sikh Punjabi-Canadian. But, now that I recall, I don't believe he implicitly said the leader made it into Sikh Religious Scripture, just that his feat seemed to be seen as, "legendary."
