Indian units request

That's a good point, and of course that's how utahjazz7 recommends doing it in his tutorial. I find things much easier to handle by making each animation a separate file. It takes up much more disk space and makes rendering more annoying but it's a lot easier to create the animations. That's especially so in this case, where different tools appear in different animations.

By the way, Rob - I just sent you an email.

render - go to sleep.

...

If only it were that easy. You have to rotate the figure every other minute to get all the different directions... change the folders... along with millions of other things that are monotonous but still require user attention. (or so I recall... been a while since I've been through the process myself :mischief:)

BatchGen creates Python scripts that can be used to render multiple Poser files automatically. With the scripts it creates you can render animations from multiple files and multiple cameras while you sleep! Also includes a utility to automatically shutdown your computer when all of your files are rendered. *Requires Pro Pack

I've completed an Indian Worker and Settler. You'll be able to see them in Anno Domini if Rob posts it soon, otherwise you'll see them in the worker/settler packs I'll post when I've done a few more.

Zulu - very nice find! For just $5 that is extremely handy. Thanks a lot.

Didn't utahjazz7 make some Indian units?

Hmm . . . I don't remember making any. A couple of years ago Zulu had requested some, and I talked about making an archer unit, but I never made it. I couldn't make or find the right sort of pants for it.

Someone did make a few Indian units more recently however. I just can't remember who.

Res Gestae (an R:TW mod) was going to include some Indian factions. There's a few large screenshots of what look to me like outstanding designs. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell they never posted the actual mod, so there's nothing to convert from. But maybe some good inspiration for what's doable.

As it's been a few months, I thought I'd give this thread a bump. I've done a basic swordsman and three basic spearmen; Plotinus has done a settler and worker; Odintheking did the Tulwar warrior; the "Sindbad" unit from embryodead is also being used. However, I've not been able to do the following and would much appreciate it if anyone would be willing to do any of them:

01. Ratha chariot
02. Chakra thrower
03. Golden warrior/archer/spearman in same sort of outfit
