Industry - Various buildings

Thank you :)
I think I'll add some chemical installation and turn this into modern workshop

Excellent as always, asioasioasio. Nice use of the ambient occlusion effect underneath the arch. ;) Beautiful texture.

You could put a smoke effect on the chimney for extra flavour? Although it doesn't need it.

Thx :)

Since i bake shadows and ambient occlusion my textures are better :) Yeah i was thinking about smoke, but i was hurry yesterday, and i left it for another occasion :)

Since you're creating Industrial Era buildings for a 1939 mod, have you thought about a barracks that fits the era?

Yes :)

Any idea how it might look?

Hope these help. :p

Spoiler Pictures :

ABOVE: These two were used by Germany in WW2 I think.

ABOVE: That one might have been from Russia, not sure.

ABOVE: An idea for a fence, reminds me of a prison.

ABOVE: This was just your standard WW2 Barracks (so the description said).

ABOVE: Not sure where this one was from but I like the feel of it. :p Most likely it's just a small part of a larger barracks.

ABOVE: Your standard American bunker. :p

I would make about 2-4 separate buildings and throw in a basketball court or some firing ranges and then place a fence around the perimeter. Maybe some Firaxis trees. It would come up looking good, I think. :)

The thing with the fence is most likely prisoners' barracks, not soldiers'. :)

Here are some more picture for general inspiration:

Yeah the one with the fence is Auschwitz - Birkenau the largest concentration camp built by Germans. Tough i think about similliar fence, maybe just the net. I don't know yet - it would be hardest thing to make because it'll be barelly visible in game.
Maybe I'll make wall - it's how it's made in my city in military barracks. I think i'll take my camera today on the walk with dog :)

OK I'll start working on the Barracks soon :) Probably I'll make now two versions - wooden (for usa) and made from bricks (european)

I'd say for the city facility, a sort of housing + vehicle garage with a wall/fence is best.
For an Industrial era fortress though, the first link Walter gave us is perfect. :goodjob:

I use a lot of your models, and I just want to say you always do a fantastic job!!! Thanks for all of these :)

It's somwhere hardcoded - there's no info about it xml.
Replacing old Watermill with new one works fine - the model appears where should be.
