Info on next patch coming next week

All I want is a working “make deal equitable” button and for monopoly tourism to be nerfed, but I’ll be shocked if even one of them happens.

With the monthly introduction of new bugs, the game has become nearly unplayable, especially with newer content enabled.

I think Monopoly Tourism is likely to be fixed because it sounds like it is a hot fix that needs to be done (same with the City Picker breaking Free Cities).

For what it's worth, Carl did acknowledge the trade button problem in TheGameMechanic's Twitch chat. It was something like, "We're aware of that bug and unfortunately it slipped into this release build." So, maybe it'll be fixed more quickly than bugs usually are.

Why can't they post this stuff on Twitter?!?! I would like to know if Firaxis aware issues without having to dig through the comments section of streamers I don't watch.

I happen to think it's a decent enough feature. The human player gets more benefit out
of city states than the AI does

Right on point. Human player always outsmarts AI in getting envoys, and ends up milking CSs without protecting them like he should. Sometimes humans even allow AI to capture CS only to win it back, liberate, get free envoys, rinse and repeat. Now it may actually backfire.

Well, city-states are the crux of certain civ and leader abilities: Pericles, Matthias, and even Rough Rider Teddy to an extent. For the AI to be almost guaranteed to screw those leaders over just sucks, and if any of them are your favorite Leaders, I can totally understand not wanting to play since the game ruins your favorite strategy.
The whole point of playing is about being flexible and finding new ways to win. If you had perfect strategy that lets you win by doing same things over and over -- you will lose interest. There is an antidote for everything except for boredom.
