I've kept playing but I'm having a harder and harder time actually finishing games. Knowing how much stuff there is going to be in the late game once BNW comes out makes the current late game even less satisfying...
Well i still play the odd game here and there now that i finally decided to make the step up to Emperor difficulty. Was playing as Arabia during one of the match and i met Carthage and both of us have coastal capitals. I was like how nice it would be if i link an international trade route over and make glorious money BNW can't come out soon enough...

When I reach the Industrial era I have to keep on playing to finish it. If I save the game and quit I just can't bother to finish that game anymore. I really need BNW asap.
I still think its a pretty decent chance. I mean Friday is the end of May. That's barely a month over release. With E3 set to be a massive news influx in mid June when is the better time to release stuff. There isn't that much time left to release stuff if you think they want to avoid being drowned in E3 news. BY late June they'll pretty much be sending out review copies.

Yeah but there is that statement about the new civ being crazy unique. Why release such a provocative statement and then have people wait several weeks to find out? The hype will have died down considerably by then. They'll probably have another QA before mid-June so why not save that question for then?
Besides even if they release a civ now they will still have another for mid-June. Add in details on the Chateau, updated religion and Piety and that's a big release. They should still have all the Reformation beliefs in reserve. We got the identity of the last civ for GK in late April and the weeks before release were barren. Throw in possible changes to other existing civs and they still have a reserve.

No offense to Kate, but it was her statement and she has been a bit hyperbolic before. Remember that Haunted Hollow live stream with tons of civ stuff to talk about. It was maybe 5 bullet points worth of minor info. That was fine, but it wasn't tons.
Plus, "outside the box" is a marketing buzz phrase. They throw it around a lot in her line of work. You could have used it to define Austria, Sweden or the Huns city name stealing scheme in G&K. Lets not use it to infer imminent information release.
Well Eagle Pursuit I would not be surprised or disappointed if nothing happens on Friday. Just seems they need to get info in by the end of next week to avoid E3. After that there is just the mid June cycle which will almost certainly have a ton of info. Plenty of stuff left to fill both slots.
seancolorado- The closest I can think of is MaDjinn's Beyond the Monument show. Covers a lot of topics. He also did a series of overview videos for GK maybe he will for BNW.

I hope not - because this way there is still a chance they won't reveal Venice this time and I couldn't stand two more weeks explaining all Venice theories to people.
