looks like the patch screwed alot of things up. 3 of 100 mods are in question of what might be broken.

Don you are officially 'the man' lol

I love this mod its sooo much fun. The first thing i just did now to familiarise myself with it was to build the city of Atlantis - one hex island city with three rings of water around it and a straight canal leading out into the sea. I gave myself El Dorado to help expand quicker.

Will be a very fun game lol Thanks :)

By the way, if you want you can even use IGE to build cities on sea hexes. ;)
(I think you have to select the cities panel and ctrl + right-click the target hex - read the tab's tooltip).

Plato's Atlantis....

Check it out:
Spoiler :

Thanks to IGE!

As you can see Atlantis has a canal leading through the concentric circles leading right out into the sea.

Map is Oval [Pangaea].
I guessed the second city name lol :)
At this point i have two and Austria is above me.

Very cute. But fear the wrath of Zeus, he tends to be sneaky with Neptune's worshipers. ;)

Lol thanks ill make sure to build plenty of temples!

Btw the Greeks called him Poseidon, twas the Romans who called him Neptune (same dude tho) :)

Yeah, but I wasn't sure whether it was Poseido or Poseidon in English. ^^
In my mother tongue Pluto is Pluton, Apollo is Apollon, etc. Neptune looked like a safe bet.

DonQ is the Reseed mod yours too? I just got that now and it's brill.

I am havin one problem with the IGE tho - when i load a game (eg. after editing) from within the game itself it crashes and i have to force quit. Its OK from the main menu but it means after editing i have to quit to desktop each time to see the changes (and sometimes even in Strategic view, although i don't use that anyways)

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

PS. What's your mother tongue? If i had to guess from those words, Greek maybe? Although your username suggests Spanish? Im no linguist just interested in such things :)

the avatar is the key :D

@Barcelonic
Yep, Reseed is another one of my babies. ;)

Now, regarding the crash you mentioned, as always with crashes, it's a civ5 problem that manifests without IGE. Now if I remember correctly, the reload crash may disappear if you remove some mods but those mods are NOT responsible : on computer A you may have to remove mod X, yet on computer B it will do nothing and you will have to remove mod Y instead. It only happens on some computers and it seems to appear and disappear randomly when you add or remove mods.

Regarding my mother tongue, here is the key to the riddle unveiled by Gedemon: my avatar is Georges "The Tiger" Clemenceau, a French politician, physician and journalist, a firm Republican in revolutionary times, one of the strongest opponent to colonialism, one of the most active supporter of Dreyfus, and finally a man who, once named president in 1917, reunited France, regrew soldiers' confidence, rejected surrender and started the "total war" that finally led to victory. As every man of power he had his share of mistakes but I feel like they're by far outshined by his merits, to a rarely seen extent.

You should make him a leader in a mod. :)
He actually looks a lil like Bismarck from the game lol.

French is a beautiful language btw.

Thanks for the tip - as i understand it both these mods can be disabled once used and the savegame wion't require them anymore (as long as I'm done with them) is this true?
If so then i could just enable it as and when i need it, and use my Have Fun cheat mod for basic things like gold when i need it.

PS. Yes, yes to all who's reading i love to cheat!! Haha. I've put in over 800 hrs on this game and so you gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to keeping it interesting lol :)

hey im a bit confused on how to get that screen in your mod on my screen i have a mac appstore version of civ5 campain edition

hey, i have a mac with a app store version of civ5 campaign edition but i cant see the mod in the mod section i think my problem is the mac version isnt cought up with the pc one but i dont know which is compatable

@Barcelonic
I thought about making him a leader but then we would lose Napoleon. And who doesn't love to kick Napoleon's bottom? :lol:
Also I am only a programmer, graphic tasks always make me sweat a lot.

Regarding your question, yes, you can disable IGE after you made your changes if it's the mod that triggers the civ5 bug for you. You will then be able to re-enable it later with the savegame, no problem.

@VIP
All versions are for both PC and Mac so you just download the most recent one (v32). What you encounter is a problem with the mac version of civ5 and I cannot help you with this matter since I am totally clueless about macs and never played civ5 on them. I suggest you read the Civ5 FAQ for Mac users to learn how to use mods on mac.

PS: Sometimes I sleep and sometimes I am away from my computer. I know, it's shocking!

Oh, you have a life I didn't realize. Just kidding. Your so awesome I wish I could make mods like you all I can do is make really small aplications. I was also wondering if I could help you with ur mods in any basic way. I could be your macintosh bug tester or once i figure out how to get this mod working for mac i could make a step by step forum page u could send people 2.

Also I figured out the problem i forgot to update the games newest patch

Now my problem is that the mod says its installed and active but i dont know where to see that additional screen i tried all your instructions but it diid not work. I have never installed any other mods. I don't know what the problem is.

Actually a little update: I had a problem whereby any land that I placed using IGE which wasn't on that hex before (ie, was water) would forever be cursed to not display farms properly - you just get the grid and no luscious green fertile farmland :(

Because of this and the fact I had to restart game after each change I stopped using it and started a new game without IGE or Reseed, but I'm still getting crashes. If you know a workaround for the farm graphic bug I might keep at it but otherwise would my performance improve if i were to remove them instead of simply disabling them? (assuming i have no luck, with all the likely mod conflicts I shamefully hoard:blush:).

Thanks :)

PS. I've been considering using IGE to create a map instead of Worldbuilder by generating from a map script, editing in-game and then clicking 'Sve As Map' in the vanilla options menu. This way starting points are known (as i never learned how to add those in worldbuilder lol). But for this project i'd need to hopefully reduce the need to restart game after each edit (i need to be able to see what i'm doing and what I've done, if you know what i mean)

thanks again for your help this far :)

I apologize if this is an asked and answered type of thing, but i've only just started this game. I started a game in G & K as the Swedes. i used the IGE a bit and then saved. when i tried to play later, it stayed on the load screen with Gustav II Adolph's description.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this? IGE is the only mod I have loaded.

Thanks!
