I don't want to support the sales of Windows 8 if I can help it. I hate that awkward unwieldy UI. I want it to FAIL so Microsoft will get rid of it when they release Windows 9.
Windows 8 has every useful UI element that Windows 7 has.

You really aren't going to find anything new on pc that doesn't have Windows 8 installed on it at this point.
Alienware is still shipping Windows 7 because they agree with the anti-8 trend.
A lot of gamers hate Windows 8
so do [] developers.
A shame I can't afford an Alienware. A lot of gamers hate Windows 8 and so do game developers.

I must say; it looks like Zelig took the whole "no compromise" adage about windows 8 a tad too literally.![]()
I hate that crappy Metro UI and I have no intention of having to use that BS. I don't want to support such a product. I am also worried about the rumors Microsoft wants to phase out the desktop interface in favor of Metro down the road. I sure as hell hope not. A computer is NOT a smart phone.
If you're making a custom-built gaming desktop, you can get a rig to play the games you listed for super cheap. It would make more sense to spend more on the laptop, due to the price/performance ratio and more expensive nature of laptops.Ok, I will take this under advisement, as long as I am not stuck with Windows 8 and can run my older games I am happy. I am trying to save money for my new custom built gaming desktop.
