Installation Failure Problem.

I have just recently purchased CivIV and have encountered an error when installing the game. The error ocurrs immediately after I insert the second CD, and the message reads: "Feature Transfer Failure (Catastrophic Failure)". The only option is clicking "ok", which then completely terminates the installation process. This failure happens when using both the express installation and the custom installation. The computer used for installation was a Dell. Thank you.

Possible reasons:
- bad CDs
- old cd drive
- obsolete cd drive firmware (e.g. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=4128476&postcount=21)

Thank you. I will be returning/exchanging the game later today. Hopefully Walmart carries some non-defective CivIVs.

Consider trying to install the game on a different computer to test if it's really the CDs or your computer.
