Instant Karma 3 civ/player, no AI

That's what I thought as well, having no restrictions on gifting units. The only rule that should really be necessary is no moving a unit twice on the same date/turn through gifting shenanigans.

On that note if that is the rule, you could just gift the settler ahead of time?

Good thots guys.
As stated before*, among team members almost anything is possible & nearly impossible to police/prevent. As a team game, i see team mate civs as very similar to states in the United States.
> All tech is automatically traded/brokered among them all.
> It makes sense that each "state" can/should specialize in producing various units (including settlers) they are best at & attach them anywhere the team wants/needs them. The double move possibilities are a stretch of reality (too bad game allows gifting even after all movement is used up), but it is impossible to prevent + we can all do it.
> City gifting is a bit more problematic since switching back & forth between "states" = not very realistic. Altho it does have it's costs, since anything being produced is lost in the transfer. But overall, i think it should not be allowed. (which actually screws up some of my original strategy)

*not in 1st post, since there are SO many details that only come up after a unique game like this is started (altho i will expand the 1st post to include the above when there is a consensus)

Not even if it's only the very first turn it's founded? What if for example I want to colonize overseas as the celts, but have no coastal cities, so it's easier if France produces and ferries over a settler to the other continent and then gifts the city once it's founded.

That's what the edit function is for, duh.

Nope that's the point, by allowing unit swapping but not allowing city swaps it limits the abuse/craziness.
One can START a city with a settler built anywhere, but it must be first be run thru its new civ in order to convert it.
END of discussion. Go spend your time & talents on something else other than how to game-the-BTS system.
Important things, like RL studies or getting laid.

Thanks for the reminder, smartass.
Now that we've ironed this out, i will.

I don't see how.

Because any unit that is to be gifted must 1st pass thru the receiving civ's territory.

Then be transported by the receiving civ to it's site.

Precisely, that's just adding unnecessary complexity.

Exactly. More importantly, a settler created by a civ on the other side of the world can't instantly create a city & gift it to anyone. :nono:

But that's exactly what I want! :(

Anyway, Lyons has been founded in the middle of nowhere and the Celtic Warrior previously fogbusting there has now been gifted to France for MP duty there.

Celts still want Stone.

I imagine the Celts are going to be waiting a long time for that stone at this rate.

Both Michkov and Hercules have Stone relatively close nearby, they only need to connect it and negotiate the price with me.

Well well well would you look at that, loads of Iron around me. Y'all sure you don't have stone for me?

50% odds for a GS and I pop another Prophet. :/ Sure, the first one was great, but now I already have a Shrine and I'd much rather build Academies in my three capitals than get a GP that won't be useful for anything but a Golden Age in a millennium.

Anyway, I've got Iron, Copper, Marble, and in twenty turns or so I'm sure to have some of the loads of Wine and Silk I have everywhere connected. Anyone wants some?

I wish I could bring the BUG mod to work with PBEMs so I can actually get any information from the Graph screen. Between my color seeing weakness and the 18 different players I can gather that somebody is building up military, but I don't know if it's Mali, the Ottomans or Arabia. :/

:king: Bath/ZHR your roaming chariot is making my Byz Civ nervous. :twitch:
Hope we don't get in to it over him... especially since a replacement scout is being trained as i type this. :assimilate:

Apparently some Malinese Warriors didn't get the news that the city they are tasked to defend doesn't exist anymore.

Hercules, just in case you are doing what I think you are doing, at least found the city one tile north of it's last position, lest I come to the conclusion that my City Raider 2 Holkan might be better off with City Raider 3.

Also moving some Axes into Paris after a Viking Galley has been spotted heading for it. I don't think he is really going to attack me but better safe than sorry.

Another Great Wonder, The Colossus, has been completed in Paris. Also the City of Rheims has been founded not far away.

The Celts also establish a city and call it Gergovia. They are still looking for someone to provide them with Stone.

The Celts' desperate quest of looking for ways to get stoned continues.

Also I have another special offer: Anyone got a Great Scientist but needs a Great Prophet? Let's switch!

:king: Bath/ZHR your wisdom & openness has been rewarded as U will see on your next turn. :hatsoff:
Frankly, i don't see how we did, since no road or river is connected = ?
But we are both better off for it. :)

Meanwhile, scout continues on his way. Approaching unescorted from your SE. No barbs yet, just alot of forests getting in the way, like the rest of this continent.

*Still whining about Stone*

No barbs yet, just alot of forests getting in the way, like the rest of this continent.

That's funny, just last turn three barbs popped out right out of nowhere at my northern Celtic border.

How come I'm the only one ever posting in this thread?

Before I forget it STONE YOU GOT STONE I NEED STONE!?

Btw I changed the names of my leaders, so you should correct it in the Tracker too. After all, what is a king without his title? :king:

The cities of Tours and Camulodunum have been founded.

The Knoedelian Triumvirate has a surplus of Iron and is ready to part with it in exchange for Ivory, Horse, money and/or STONE. In about ten turns give or take depending on the speed of our workers we will also have more Wine and Silk than we know what to do with.

On the less bright side, behold yet another example of why a combat system built around randomness just doesn't work:

My Combat I Holkan (you know, with First Strike Immunity, so even better against Archers than Spears) did not only lose against that unpromoted barbarian Archer on open ground with more than 90% odds, he didn't even damage him! :gripe: :wallbash: :hammer2:  :crazyeye:
