Actually, You're only on top of the AI when you win via culture or UN vote, IIRC. The screen always looks like that when I win by conquest and domination.

Hmm. Maybe you're right. Due to forgetfullness, I can't remember what AI have been like when I won by Dom or Conquest, but I know it looks like the on top thing for SS Race too.

OMFG. Bowman cost 20 shields, they have 2/2/1. Why Babylon would ever build spearmen, I don't know. Bowmen are obviously better.

Someone wake up the AI and tell 'em that spears kill tanks, not other spears.

Sword->Mech Infantry
Marine->Nothing

Take the upgrade path into consideration.

It took some time, but suddenly everyone just turned on one another. Think its the introduction of military alliances and trade embargoes.

They are talking about starting next to germany and what seems to be mongols. Other than that the starting place seems kinda nice .

This has to be the most diverse unhappiness report I've ever seen. I didn't realize that an enemy country drafting its own people could affect capured cities. I had just lost a city to the Byzantines and they had used the draft, then I retook the city.

Funny story. I once captured Paris and they had been drafting so the people were unhappy and stuff. In a couple of turns, they get so unhappy with the French drafting their citizens that they defect back to France!
