Interesting Screenshots

For Agricultural civs, deserts are the same as plains, so irrigated and railed deserts do give three food.

Whoooops! My bad there.

but, only irrigated deserts are the same as irrigated plains.

I was using HoF MapFinder and came up with a spotted cow. :p

Umm... did you take a screen shot, open it in Windows fax Viewer, then take a screen shot of that?

It's kind of hard to see the cow in that screenshot- you should either zoom in on the cow or increase the quality.

Yes I did on the pic above. Here's a larger shot of the cow, and I opened the jpg file in MS paint to get it. :)

Strange- in the game, I've only seen Tan cows before, never black!

This one isn't plain black. It's spotted black and white (or silver), like a Jersey cow. I guess the shot still isn't clear enough to see that well.

It's probably the result of a graphical glitch when MapFinder took the jpg shot of the screen, and I'll bet if I actually opened the .sav file, the cow would look normal.

Are you using a Gateway computer?

I believe a few pages back in this thread there is a picture of the same phenomenon, only that in this case it is one of the advisors that is affected. Looks like a ghost.

Here is another example with the hillgraphics all screwed up:

Of course that is not nearly as cool as the cow.

It does look spotted black and white- I'm just saying that all cows I've ever seen the game were tan and white. ;)

(Sees Lord Elmsworth's post) Holy ....! A white hill! Perhaps there was snow?

I don't think so, but my computer guy builds them from components. I do know it has an Intel P4 3ghz processor with 1 gig of ram. I can find quite a bit of info about the individual parts, but there is no specific brand name.

When I bought it 2 years ago, I asked for one powerful enough to run Civ4 with a good graphics card. Civ4 runs just fine, but I don't like playing the game. :p

Weird... What's up with those Russians?
