Did you miss something, Turner? Three AI, each with a different tech that they have not traded. It may also be worth noting that the Iroquois are the only AI with Philosophy.

Nah, the question was "When have you seen three different AIs getting three different monopoly techs at the same time." And I replied with "When they trade it with each other." That doesn't mean in this particular case that's what's happened, but I have seen this before in the past. ;)

I must be missing something in your analysis, Turner. Once a tech is traded, it ceases to be a monopoly tech. I think Mathias is right. They haven't traded around. Of course, that doesn't mean that you haven't seen this, but I can't recall seeing the AI have so many different monopolies spread out among different AIs.

Hey silver, the second pic doesn't work. :p

Playing as the Byzantines, I sailed a curragh into Zulu territory on a mapping mission. Shaka kindly asked me to leave, and I said I would -- I just didn't say when.

I sailed around to the back side of the Zulu empire, and Shaka came at me again with his whole "declare war or I'll move you" spiel. I told him to just chill out and move me.

Next thing I know, I've been banished to an island from which there is no safe escape:

I sailed all around the island looking for a way out, but all I found was open ocean.

My cartographer suggested stocking up on fish and venison and heading due north, and we made it safely back to the known world.

It's nearest safe neutral or friendly territory; it doesn't necessarily have to be previously explored. The same thing happened to me a while back - I posted it in this thread too!

Here's the post - it's 5 tiles to get to the tile I was bumped to, and 6 to the one I knew about (the neutral coastal tile near the Mayan city). So I got a free intercontinental boost (and met the Zulu into the bargain :crazyeye: )

"And so, the Zulu tied us up and blindfolded us, and sailed us to a strange remote island, and left suddenly, and we were stranded there. But, we said 'screw the danger' and risked it to un-strand ourselves, and it worked."

I had to snap a pic of this confluence of the powers of the universe.

How often can you get both wonders and in perfect sync too?:lol::lol:

Out of curiosity, why the asterisk?

Putting an asterisk at the front keeps the capitol at the top of the city list. It was a recommendation I got from here but now I can't remember if it was Aabraxion or Overlord... or someone else.:crazyeye:

I do like it and do it in all my games now.

AHAH... if you can believe it, I've gotten it several times on Cheiftain games (and I try to AIM for it)

I'm pretty sure if you complete the Knights Templar on the same turn as an AC is produced, they are in sinc

Playing the Lord of Middle Earth mod, I got a surprising leader.
