Interesting Screenshots

He gets 84gpt as tourist income in the bottom example- 6 wonders built before 1200BC!!!, How the hell he managed that? The cheapest combination of ancient wonders is about 1500 shields in 72 turns (I believe it's SoZ,colossus, mausoleum, oracle, lighthouse, hanging gardens) or something which suggest either about 25spt in early ancient (how?) or something like 4 SGLs in early ancient (with ~8 spt...). The game is on chieftain as seen from the spoiler but still too many SGLs.

How can you tell how much tourist income he's getting?

But... you can't see any wonders in those screenshots... :crazyeye:

I counted the raw commerce in the sceen, I assume the city has all 3 science wonders and all 3 science improvements. As the city has no geeks I took the amount of beakers, divided by 5.5 and subtracted the visible commetce. The remainder is the wonder income which is 84.

Apparently, Malcolm values other people's workers more than his own.

He probably does, if upkeep rules are similar in that scenario. Giving away his worker nets him gpt, giving away a slave does not.

Oh, no, THERE ARE! Cities of them!

Spoiler :
"Alemanni" is an old word for Germans, which lives on in the Spanish and French words for them.

Well, to be more precise: the "Alamannen" have been one tribe of the many German tribes, and it was the western-most tribe, directly on the French (or rather Frankian) border. The Franks -- not being able to distinguish between Alamannen, Bavarians, Saxonians, Cherusker, Friesen, Goths, Markomannen, Langobarden, Sueben, etc, etc -- just called all of them "Alamannen"... ;)

Not to mention the fact that the Franks themselves were a Germanic tribe ....

Oh, so that's why German (the language) was called "Allemand" in French 1.

I believe it was also called "Allemand" in French 2, 3, and any other steps of French there are, including the actual language.

This is from a game I am 'rescuing' from my 11 year old son.

Okay, this is no mystery - there was a LB hiding on a boat. It's still funny when it happens. That's one fearsome worker! Temujin is that you?
