Interesting Screenshots

I've seen that many times. It doesn't affect the game play in the least, though, so it doesn't bother me at all.

Well, I thought I'd post it for people who haven't seen the bug before.

@Ansar: For now... :mischief:

If it had an airport/harbor, then more resources would appear in the resource box than Horses. It only says there are 7 because that's how many I have total. It's a bug, and it's the first time I've noticed it.

Sometimes the AI's can do pretty respectable naval invasions. Mysteriously, they usually occur on small islands. (look at these Cossacks!)

What's up with the font?

Oh, and

I would only drop off half that many troops, but it's still a good idea. Could be used as a sea-base and retraining and healing station. Plus they landed on jungle, meaning they get a defensive bonus if you attack them with cavalry.

By the way, good luck using two cavalry to kill any of those Greek infantry... you'll need it.

Those are Persian Infantry. ;)

I have to confess that I've only read the first 15 pages of this thread. :p So it's possible that there's already been similar screens posted.

First one: I often feel the need to fire the domestic advisor, but unfortunately, there's no one else to hire. I can imagine the phone call:

"God morning Sir! You know Lisht, the village we conquered a week ago? There's a population of 10.000 there, and I recommend that we let them construct an intercontinental missile. I estimate that they will have it ready to launch in about 1000 years. I hope the world still exists by then!"

The second screen is kind of sad. We've come far enough to construct highly sophisticated weapons, but we still haven't figured out a better way to greet natives that we run into.

LOL.

Why don't the green/yellow/red circles that appear over the HP bar of units to show you if they have full movement, no movement, or somewhere in between, appear in your screenshots?

Those are only in Conquests, not in Vanilla (or at least as far as I can remember)

Yes, I'm playing Vanilla, and I've never had any circles indicating movement.

Edit: I was wrong about that. I've just not noticed the circles before. But it seems that they're not visible during animated movement or something like that. Don't know if that behavior is specific for my Mac version of the game, a bug or something?

i was about to say... when i had only vanilla, i remember there being the little dots.... and i didn't really like 'em either

then i got used to them, and i don't care anymore

:wow: :wow: :wow:

Where did the AI get all that money?

Where did the AI get all that money?

This question is actually both hard and very easy to answer. An easy answer would be "from nowhere." A harder answer would be "from me in the first place." Scroll up one post and click on the link that reads "Food for thought" in the Bartleby quote from the Money maker thread to get a basic outline of how this works.

I dug around a little on my HD. Both screenies were made in Vanilla, and I think I have posted them before. Anyway:
