Interesting Screenshots

(look at the CivAssist window in the top right to see what I can sell them)

Here's their continent :

I don't think they're going to make you very rich.

Interesting to see this stuff about the Schizophrenic Shaka variant when I bumped that and people told that resurrecting old threads was frowned upon. Looks like it came out useful to the community.... at least in this case.

But I didn't see that bump: I read it before and decided to read it again.

Captured AI cities tend to fill themselves with entertainers. I don't know why.

I think usually the last city will be 100% war-weary unhappy faces. So if you have the governer on, he will just turn them all to entertainers. If you want to do something useful with them, turn them all to scientists and wait for the city to starve down a bit, then go back in and reassign people once they aren't so bitter about the hostile takeover.

Instead of scientists, change them to taxcollectors. The whole scientists thing usually doesn't help at all especially if there are only 3 of them. This way you actually get some extra gold.

Well, well, the AI and city placement...

EPIC FAIL!:crazyeye:

It prevents them from being sad, and thus, revolting. Unfortunately, the computer is too stupid to make them tax collectors or scientists, so they just entertain each other.

Why does the name "Al Franken" come to mind.
:lol::lol::lol:

I havent got a screenshot of it, but once whilst I was in mi-industrial, nearly at tanks, with dozens of cavalry, I started diplomacy with another civ, and my advisor told me '...has the Spearman' (I cant remember which civ it was) That made me laugh.

From my last game. (I re-loaded the save to get pics, thats why there is only one city)

1)Looks good
2)Yay, more resources
3) Hooray, oh wait, nooo!

? What's so bad? You've got horses, plenty of food bonuses, & land just a hop away. Plunk a town on the coast, churn out some boats, & go for it!

It was Archepalgo (sp), so there were lots of islands. That land you can see was quite large, and contained the English, Spanish and French. By the time I oculd build Galleys they had mostly filled the continent, except for a few spots. I managed to get two cities on it though. There was another, smaller, island east of that, which I was able to claim first, except one tiny corner the Spanish beat me to. In the end I won a domination victory, entirely claiming that large island, several tiny, two tile islands, the Babylonian island which was a bit bigger than my starting island. I also got about half of the other large island which had the Portugese, Americans and Bzantines on.
I admit it's not that bad for an island start, in fact I made it a fortress, by putting a fortress on every coastal tile! (It paid off though, one fortified cursader beat several American cavalry before dieing)

Dude why is your capital size 7 and you have no other cities, no tile improvements, and your building wealth?

I re-loaded the 4000bc save to get screen shots. I just built a city and used the worker to explore the island to get to show what was there. I did that beacause I had a 4000bc save and then a 700ad save. Hope that clears it up. (Oh, and its size 1, not 7!)

Ah, the third screenshot. Like I said, I had already won that game, and just wanted pictures of the start, so I didnt bother changing production, as I knew I wouldnt be playing for long.
