Into The Future

The break may get longer.I was thinking about putting up another update pretty soon, but I think my internet may be cut off tomorrow.

how come?

oh. that sucks...

I can't say for sure, but it's possible that even if it does get cut off, that we'll get it back on sometime.

I think the internet is going to stay on...hopefully.

Not sure if the internet will be cut off or not, but we'll got one more update at least!

Spoiler :
Even though the French would not accept unconditional surrender, the US could not afford to have more unhappy French occupied land, and so accepted a regular peace treaty with France.

And then it seemed that France wanted to get better relations with the US in the postwar period, and offered an open borders deal to the US government. It was accepted.

The US also left troops around the border with Communist Siam, as relations with them were still not good.

Relations with the Ottomans seemed to have gotten better, and they even asked the United States to join them in a war against the Songhai nation.

Although it may have been a good sign that they were being more friendly to the US, it worried the US government about the possibility of Ottoman aggression on the northern continent.

And back in the war against the Aztecs, the US liberated the city of Buffalo creek from the Aztecs, and, as they had done with Persia, re-established the Iriquois nation.

Due to the American recession, the US had to temporarily abandon it's buildup of nuclear weapons to focus on getting the economy better.

And the Russian leader came and asked the US to renew the vows of friendship between the two countries, and the US accepted.

But the Ottomans were not happy about the American alliance with Russia.

It was unknown to American intelligence how much fighting was actually going on between the Japanese and the Aztecs, and no news crews had dared to venture into the warzone. But it was clear that there was alot of nuclear fallout in Aztec territory.

While moving in for the attack on Onondoga, another former Iriquois city, the American army discovered that there was a sizable Aztec army around the city. The fighting started quickly, and this quickly became the most brutal battle of the entire war to date.
2012-10-25_00021.jpg

After pushing the Aztec army back toward the city, the American robot was in range to attack. But the American commander realized they had made a blunder.Since their armor divisions had moved in so far, it left the American missile artillery vulnerable to Aztec mechanized infantry. After debating what to do, the American commanders sent a mobile sam division to defend the missile artillery, even though they were not meant for combat against mechanized infantry. The mobile sams fought desperately against the Aztec mechanized infantry division. They barely managed to hold the line until what was left of the mechanized infantry division was destroyed by bombing runs.

Meanwhile, an American armor division began swooping around behind the city to take out an Aztec artillery installment. The armor division finally arrived and destroyed the artillery.

The US army now had nothing to distract them from attacking the city(except an Aztec destroyer, which they could do nothing about), and began attacking the city with both armor divisions. But Onondoga was a powerful city, and still had Aztec artillery stationed inside it.After a long time of brutal and desperate fighting, one of the American armor divisions was completely wiped out, and the American robot was knocked off it's feet by Aztec bombing runs. The US army was driven to retreat.

Some American missile artillery fire and bombing runs continued while the American high command and the President tried to decide whether to perform another attack or to try negotiations with the Aztec government.

Yeah, that was a tough battle, but in the end, I just couldn't get the city.:(

Very nice update! Interesting to see where it's going.

Thanks.

How do you plan to manage your economy for the rest of the game, specifcally your happiness? Glad to see this is in full throtal for the moment

I don't really know, but I've been getting some good practice at it because me and my brother have been going really far into the future on Civ5.

Let's just say, golden ages will probably play a big part.

hopefully the game doesnt freeze like mine and spell a tragic end to an otherwise intriuging story
