Aaaaaa! My sister is playing glee!!!! My ears!!!! disadvantages of using the computer is that her radio is near it...

Here comes the update. It now tells the month of the year in the game.Is that something that happened with the new patch?

Spoiler :
Following the American defeat at Onondoga, the surviving American armor division continued the retreat from the city, while under fire from Aztec artillery.
2012-11-02_00005.jpg

The big debate in the US government continued, over whether to continue the war or to try negotiations. The US government tried to find out whether or not the Aztecs would recognize the independence of Persia if the war ended.Eventually, though, remembering all the terrible things and war crimes that the Aztecs had commited earlier in the war, the US government decided that the Aztecs still needed to be taken down a notch to try to make sure those things never happened again. The American high command then decided to attack in a different direction, and began bombarding the city of Chiconautla in preparation for an attack, while the American armor division was repaired.

A newly constructed American robot also joined the fight against the city.
2012-11-02_00008.jpg

However, suffering intense Aztec artillery bombardment, the robot was forced to retreat. But American forces continued bombing the city.

The US then lost it's ally. The US government received news that Japan and the Aztecs had agreed on a peace treaty.

Although demoralized by the defeat at Onondoga and the loss of Japanese assistance, the American army, with the fully repaired American armor division, finally moved in for the attack on the city.
2012-11-02_00021.jpg

After a lengthy siege, the Americans won the battle and took the city, which brought renewed confidence to the American forces on the continent.
2012-11-02_00023.jpg

After capturing Chiconautla, the American armor division moved further west to scout and see how defended the city of Chengdu was.To American suprise, it was relatively undefended.
2012-11-02_00025.jpg

The American army immediately proceeded to bombard the city, and the American armor division began attacking the city.Eventually, after being repaired, the American robot joined the fight, and with it's assistance, the city of Chengdu was taken as well.
(Couldn't find a screenshot for this.Must have forgot to take one.Sorry:lol:)

The US could not understand why the Aztecs were putting up such little resistance. It was wondered if the Japanese had destroyed that much of their army.It was even rumored that the Aztec leader had basically said that the US was defeating them.
2012-11-02_00002.jpg

Yet even though the war against the Aztecs seemed to be going well, the US now had other fears. The Ottomans had suddenly declared war on the Songhai nation, and quickly took one of their cities. This worried the US government, and it considered whether to become involved in this conflict. But doing so would probably mean a full scale war with the Ottomans on America's home continent. The future was uncertain...

Just in case it interests anyone, here is a picture of this world in the 2020's, before I started this thread. This was during the second war with France in which I liberated a good bit of Songhai territory, and at least two city states from France.

Look at the mini map to see how different the world looked.

It's so weird to think that France was once a relevant nation (both IRL and in this game).

Yeah, France used to be pretty powerful. They were menacing the northern continent during my second war with them.

Just wanted to share something that may affect this story greatly in the long run.

For some reason when you go really far into the future on Civ5 the amount of influence you get with city states for gold gifts diminishes, and I think it eventually gives zero influence and then gives negative influence. This could hurt me later on, as I'm relying heavily on a city state up north for aluminum.

In this screenshot you can see the amount of influence for gold gifts has gone down, and as far as I know, it keeps going down.

Btw, update probably coming later today.

Update.

Spoiler :
Continuing in the war against the Aztecs, the United States was ever thinking of what would be the right time to end the war, and the US wanted to make sure that the Aztecs would recognize the independence of Persia and the new Iriquois nation if the war ended.

But the President of the new Persian state, ungrateful for what the US had done, tried to take advantage of American fears that the Aztecs would wipe out Persia again, and said that they would make peace with the Aztecs if the United States would pay them.
2012-11-09_00002.jpg

But the US determined that if the war ended, they could fend for themselves, if they were going to act such ways.

And the US had other fears closer to home, concerning Ottoman aggression against the Songhai. The Ottomans had already conquered a good portion of Songhai territory, including the former American territory that the US had sold to the Songhai.
2012-11-09_00006.jpg

The US tried to mediate between the two nations to get the Ottomans to agree to a cease fire. But the US came to understand that the Songhai did not want the war to end.
2012-11-09_00009.jpg

So the US determined to not to intervene as of yet, but just hoped that the Songhai would at least try to negotiate with the Ottomans, as they were quickly losing ground to the Ottoman blitzkrieg.
2012-11-09_00033.jpg

And although in a war against each other, after the American army liberated the Iriquois nation, the US and the Aztecs agreed to both recognize the neutrality of the Iriquois in this war.But after the American victories at Chiconautla and Chengdu to the west, the Aztecs determined that they needed to break through on the east.So they broke their word, declaring war on the Iriquois. The Aztecs began attacking, and were quickly overwhelming the defenseless Iriquois. The American airforce tried to fend off the Aztec bombers, but the Aztec ground forces were gaining ground fast. They captured the new capital of the Iriquois nation before the American army could even respond.
2012-11-09_00018.jpg

The American army quickly mobilized to once again liberate the Iriquois from their Aztec conquerors, while American bombing runs were softening up the Aztec forces.
2012-11-09_00026.jpg

Meanwhile, the American airforce was attempting to stop Aztec bombing runs, meeting them over the great Sea of Onondoga to shoot them down before the reached their targets.
2012-11-09_00022.jpg

After a fairly short siege, the American army liberated the city once more from the Aztecs.
