Invest now or wait for gold?

Greetings fellow civilians.

I have been playing Civ4 BTS with some mods for a couple of years now and am thinking about investing in Civ5 as some of my friends already have it and we could then do a nice multiplayer game.

The question I am pondering about though, is whether to buy now or wait a while for the combo pack/gold edition? Any ideas on when these might be available?

Combo pack? like game with all the DLC? Check out the game of the year edition on steam. Also gods and kings is coming out soon.

I just upgraded from Civ4 myself and am loving Civ 5, but I am finding the AI to be pretty easy. I think the algorithm needs a bit of tweaking. I don't think the AI knows how to maneuver their army worth a damn.

Thanks, Smokey. Yes, I am looking for something like a GOTY edition, but with all the expansions. Do you think there will be one after G&K? If there is not going to be one, I'll just wait for G&K and then get the special edition or whatever has the original plus the expansion.

You can be pretty sure that there'll be a version with G&K at some point, but I would not expect it in this year (pure guessing from me, but "gold versions" have never been released very early within the Civ series).
