Sorta. You can maybe establish trade relations with them but the US is headed by President Radcliffe, who'll try anything to get the former United States back together. They'll be very rich early on and signing trade agreements with them would be a boom to your economy.

But you have to remember that you're signing a deal with the devil in these cases. Trade Agreements can only be broken when a loan is defaulted (BAD), when bankruptcy is filed (WORST), when both parties agree to cancel the agreement (GOOD), or when the two go to war with another (WORSE).

They're not getting involved. There are no navies (simplified through Alaska being able to land on the Pacific West Coast) so....the Caribbean is a non-starter. Canada and Mexico won't get involved and short of going in and punching their border patrols in the mouth, they won't get involved period.

No. Justified in that Canada and Mexico don't want to possibly aggravate the PAU or TE (or even the former US) to the point where they might invade. Once the TE and PAU are forced out, they'll trade and become active. They won't build factories or anything but through sheer territories can do well.

I am to busy to play anything right now. But IIRC this isn't starting till Rev is finished which shouldn't be for a few months.

But Canada is great.

1. I'm running Rev and HF at the same time. One's a largely military game while the latter is economic focus, which makes sure I won't get screwed up updating.

2. Exactly. Canada is so great due to the ruleset that I would either A.) Nerf them heavily or B.) Make them an inactive NPC.

Except the Spaniards will eventually fail because they relied on gold while the British relied on tobacco from their colonies.

No. Free market. Join whatever game you want, if you don't like it, stay out of it.

I mean, even in Mafia we TECHNICALLY do this, even though most people will wait to avoid being seen as a jerk, you aren't REQUIRED too.

But IOT is a much smaller brand, and so I see no reason to do this.
