You don't have to join it...
No. Free market. Join whatever game you want, if you don't like it, stay out of it.
But IOT is a much smaller brand
Can we leave politics out of this. This is about what's practical and what's not.
Actually. That's a good idea. After all, there are what, five running now? Of course, I'm running 40% of those. :whistles:
Well it won't be for much longer.
I was actually quoting Omega124's statement when Zack proposed a bunch of Mafia rules. My entire point was, you can pick whatever game you feel is best (Or more than one, if you feel like it) and the games that are less good will die on their own. That way, people can make complex IOTs, and people who don't like it won't (Or shouldn't) complain, and same with simple IOTs.
My post had NOTHING to do with real politics.
Although, it seems that only in forum games do we have "Moderators" with no mod titles...
Although no one seems to want to play mine. Even though I posted the update.
Also @Double A- I left your IOT before you started GMing it. It wasn't because of you, it was because I have VERY limited time coming, and I REALLY want to run the Holy Land.
But I like it! It's probably tied for my favorite with Enlightenment (and not just cuz I'm gming).

Yeah, Enlightenment's a good game.
D'awwwwI'm getting a warm and fuzzy feeling inside
For something that I wrote up 40% of the rules for on the spot, copied 20% from IOT6, and only did two test runs of the combat system, both of them for sea battles, I'm shocked it's working so well.
Anyway I find myself in between the two camps. Sure, if you want to run an IOT, go ahead . . . but that also strikes me as a bit to random. I know that I've basically dropped out of Resource Wars - and IOT6 in some ways - because of GMing Enlightenment.
So yeah. I'm no helpI don't have a wonderful GM track record, but I have what I must modestly say are great ideas. I just can't keep up at them forever. Except Realpolitik, which lasted almost a year, making it the most successful game of its type in world history. Maybe with it done I can keep Enlightenment going . . . .

I'd say when those start to die out, we could start an IOT VII in the vein of the other simple-IOT's that have been numbered. If we time it right, we can get a good turnout by catching people from the dieing other IOT's. If we have most people in a productive, big IOT, then that might cut down on second tier ones.
If everyone told me what they had/what I had was correct (province- and program-wise), I could run it smoothly.
