IOT Developmental Thread

As much as I love your work, Tailles, and I do, there is no cradles. In fact, the whole Americas will be filled with NPCs. People will be playing as the American colonies in Europe or a European "tribe".

what's the map for, Nedim?
Its for my IOT, based on the cold war (if you look closely Berlin is actually 2 cities, separated by that grey line)
What time period are the last two maps set in?
Tailess is set in the colonial era (I think)
Nedims is set in the cold war

The map looks good, and I can't wait to start that game (which is now the top of my priority list)

edit: But if the two people actually giving input on this would rather me make everything start out equally undeveloped, I can do that too. I'm going to keep the roads, but I'll downgrade all the castles and ports except for the Wall, King's Landing, the Eyrie and Harrenhal due to their importance or uniqueness. I think I might add a couple more NPCs who will be based in the Twins and Oldtown.

Well?

Alright, I'm gonna have to make a big excel sheet for that.

I've decided on having a level system for roads, since I already have it for castles and ports. Farms are numerical, however. Probably. I need a way to make it so players have some kind of hard limit on armies.

I haven't played any, so can you give a brief overview of it?

basically there is a manpower limit in the game, which determines the number of recruits and reinforcements you can have (per turn). In your game it would decide the number of armies you can build, and armies you can supply per turn.

Cradles in this case refer to Mesoamerica and the Andes, historically the most populous and most "advanced" regions of the continent, not where players will start. I am fully aware that America will be filled with NPCs.

Does you also want a map of Europe, or perhaps you would like a map of Europe and also one of East Asia (ie sailing west from America) or perhaps one of all of Eurasia and Africa, since Europe itself is actually quite small, and I'd imagine your hypothetical American colonists would be just as interested in the riches of Asia as much as Europe, if not more so.

Actually, I have my European map planned out. I'm going to use the one from the Napoléonic IOT, which has plently of room even when you start with 10 proviences, let alone 5.

I don't need any for Asia, they really aren't important colonywise; its more profitable to trade with them than to take their lands, and they are only a little less advanced than the Americans, if not even at the same tech.

I have an idea for an IOT, and if its ok with Sonereal, will be using the RIOT map, and it focuses on starting from the classical, and going all the way to the modern era. It might not happen, me being new to being a GM, but I'll give it a try.

It's not my map (it's TK's) so sure.

Oh, well TK, are you all right with it?
